Melville Beach, WA, Patrik FR 125, Turbo 7.5, 6.5, 6

Fastest runs with the 7.5 in moderate wind but nice flat water.

Nice to catch up with many of the team! Hope everyone got a good sail.

Melville, Futura 101, OD 6.5, Drake  34.  Started off being overpowered and spinning out.  After a long break, decided to have another go and it was much better.

Bloody Mistral boards!!!! They are like cheating! PB for me at Melville and only the 3rd outing!SurprisedCool

Arrived at Melville to see Snides, Cheryl and Recycle fanging around. Very high tide.

Then the big squall came through with very little after it. Very up and down all day.

Nasty chop for a while with the stinkboat timetriallers making a mess of the river. Got a 35 dead on the dial.

Then sunshine but the wind was very holey. As the tide dropped started to pick up more weed on the pointer and switched to a weedy.

Managed to work up to the bar and got some good runs dodging the snot bergs running back to the shore. One good gust for the peak speed and then another in the squall just before the wind switched for a 35.58 10s. Pulled up and watched the slow one go faster on a 137L !!!EmbarassedYellUndecided

That was it so wobbled back to the car and called it quits.

The SL 91 accelerates amazingly and just keeps accelerating off the wind when other boards just hit the chop and start to slow down. I have never had more than 37 out of this fin before ( Choco 27 weed) and have tried hard. Well done Mr Lockwood!

Good to catch up with a bunch of the crew.

Loft Blade 6.3, Mistral SL 91, Bandit 29 / Choco 27 weed

Lumpy, weedy, gusty, arms hurt, tired. yep that covers it.

A generous lump of weed kindly volunteered to try and make me stop suddenly, and it succeeded. well done snot weed you did a great job.

I have a lot of respect for the guys/girls who cover great distances and get awesome speeds, Its not easy....did i mention my arms hurt.

Good crowd of people there today, always a friendly person to talk to and for a rainy day it was actually quite warm.

Isonic 96, overdrive 7.5, 6.0, tectonics f1 34, custom weedy (after the stack)

Now i'm tired, and my arms hurtCry

Yoyo's run with the whole family.

It was nuclear when we arrived but soon dropped out. I compromised with a big sail and small board in the hope it would kick back in but never happened. I would have been better on the big gear.

The water level was 0.5m higher than I've ever seen it which made the water less putrid and meant I could get right up to the bank.

Despite not getting speed conditions it was still a nice cruise with a few spots of sunshine.

Melville Beach, WA

Gusty and choppy - started on the M91, too gusty so tried the M137 which was more fun.

About 4pm used the M112 to go for a NM, wind booted in and got the best speeds of the day.

Great team turnout, Lunny was out racking up distance, saw Mark do his epic 38 knot run - very nice Cool

Xfire 90, 6.0 overdrive FO 30 weedy. I didn't get out until 3pm and should have rigged bigger, but after weeks without a sail it was a nice gentle warm up session for hopefully a better day on Sunday

Melville Beach, 101L/6m.  Arrived late. Still had a bit of fun before it died off.

Congratulations on the PBs guys.

Just checked in Realspeed and only a 37.84 in old money but still a Melville PB!

Great job on cracking the ton in testing conditions, Lunny and a nice corner!Cool

Another PB from GS!Cool

Sorry you were on your lonesome, Chris. Been skunked too many times at Yoyo's. looks like you had fun in the sun anyway.Laughing

Good to see Ricey back on the water, although he forgot his GPS. Ask if you forget as a few of us have spares.

Welcome back, bono!

Good team outing with a couple more to post yet.

I try not to agree with the Hardone for reasons of sanity, but in this case +1 for me too :-)

Well done Mark - nice pace! The Mistral boards might be like cheating but they still need a good driver.

Great team turnout and congrats to all who got PBs.
