All the planets aligned today. Strong wind, 30 to 45 knot NW-SW'ly and the chop was small for most of the day only getting choppy with the big gusts.
6.2RSR,
56cm wide custom slalom Chester, 21cm carbon 40degree weed fin,
46cm wide custom speed board Neil, 17cm and 20cm 42degree G10 weed fins.
Had a good session in the morning on my slalom board clocking 43.48 on the dial in a NW gust. Had lunch and then wanted to set up my speed board with everything rigged the same. Had to come in and crank the downhaul more for the stronger gusts and also changed to a bigger fin. This felt a lot more stable in the small chop and soon after clocked a 43.46 in a SW gust and also a few good NM's. Couldn't be more happy with how everthing felt today.
The team effort today was awesome. Its a shame we had a few sailors missing and injured.

SB 99L Carve, 5.2m Loft Pure Lip, 26cm Uni wf. Feeling quite knackered but very content. What a great day and really good to see many of the Speeders, Gustbusters and other speed sailing crews out on the water blasting around the place in these awesome conditions. Primbee really turned it on and I imagine there will be lots of PBs in a couple of the categories today. Congrats everyone on the fine perfomance.

Epic day at Primbee - the best wind/water combination of the year. A large crew of speed nuts out today.
Started out with the 5.6m and this was great (as usual), but at times was overpowered. I think I just got a 42 knot 2 sec with this combo, but decided to change to the 5.1m after a lunch break. Such a sweet little sail - feels the same as its big brother, just a bit more controllable in the big gusts. Top speeds with this combo. The bearaways were great fun and the water not too choppy, even though the round up at the end of a run was a bit scary through the short sharp chop near the shore.
A big team day I think.
Stoked at the NM, and 2 sec.
