Big day on the water. Up at pengos, in the pond and the finale at the beaver. Great number out for a monday too.
Great day

Delightful after-work sail - testing the bottom end of the V8.
My latest retro-Mistral $50 investment was a good one.

Super fun at SB, wind didn't really kick in as promised but can't complain about a nice steady 20 knots.
On the water at 4pm, hit the bottom a couple of times with the 24, by 5pm there was plenty of water.
Great team turnout and Slowy for company on the run.
Mistral 91, GPS 6.6 (rigged for the forecast so underdone), CL SW 24 (fastest but hooking some weed), Vector DWS 22.5 (cutdown 27)

3676 days ago Safety Bay, WA, AU M47 5.7K, 23 elmo weedy 18-20 knots nothing like the 23-26 knots on the Garden Island graph.
Not expecting much water over the sandbar I put in the delta fin, but it didn't feel at all safe in the chop so I came back and changed to my trusty Elmo weedy. The board was very flighty but moving the mast forward 1 cm settled it nicely and then I could tackle some speed runs.
First run, I couldn't believe it, I got to the top of the speed strip and it was absolutely deserted. It was like everyone had gone home. No kiters, no windsurfers, just acres of smooth, so I was able to choose my line, rather than dodge people. I kept looking through my sail expecting a kiter to come zooming up at any minute but it didn't happen. Eventually I lost all sail pressure and had to pull up to avoid falling in backwards. I could hardly believe it when my GPS read 32.65, but I knew it wasn't a spike because the 10 sec was 31.5. I was thinking I could break my 5X PB at this rate, but my lucky streak did not continue. I had to totally abandon my next speed run because of a kiter who positioned himself right in my path, and I struggled to get over 30 on the following runs. Toward the end there wasn't enough wind to even get a 30 peak. It is amazing the 32.65 didn't get downgraded at all! My third best 2 sec ever! I am pretty happy with that. It is amazing how often my first run is the fastest.
A fun session with a good bunch of Pinnaroos - a special treat to get to sail with Greg who was home on R&R, and Slowboat who we made an honorary Pinnaroo for the day. A pity we can't use his score!

Safety Bay, WA, AU 105 rocket, 31 weed later changed to 26, 6.6 SSR underdone for my size so didn't get the numbers but happy with my alpha, I was only trying to avoid couple of boats there. Great to finally be in the spot that most Pinnaroo’s came and SB was easy on the body, I did not expect to have this much energy day after doing Pinnaroo Point chop. Thanks to the company no doubt.

3676 days ago A quick dash to Wallyworld after the W word trying to back up if needed.
Tide was super low with some big clumps of snot down near the island. Usual gusty rubbish.
Decided to try the KA/CL 23 in the M91. I forgot how good this fin is in bigger boards. When it was windy it was great and gybed like it was on rails. It was hard work getting upwind though.
Wasn't keen to go the kamikaze run through the shallows so best speed was out in the river coming back the wrong way.
A few visitors including Ben (not sure if he is on a team) who was throwing caution to the wind with some scary runs through the rock garden. Jesper and Daniel.

Fun sesh at Safety Bay.
Pretty powered up on the 7.6TR9 + M112 + 33 tribal weed. Buggerall water in the pond and over the bar, so I sailed up to Pengoes, but didn't really know the lie of the land up there, and it was pretty shallow in parts.
Grabbed the M95 + 28 weedster for the last hour, but I was still nervous bout the depth, so never really dropped the hammer, skirting round the edge of the bank.
Good sesh, just needed a bit more tide to get over the shallow bits!
