Falcon 79 and Maui TR9 6.6m
After yesterday my body didn't really want to go sailing today. But I dragged it along anyway.
Slightly more easterly today, so the area of flat water didn't align with the windiest areas. So it felt far rougher than yesterday.
Big crowd today and managed to match a few more names to faces.
Nice to chat in the warm sun at the end, quite a contrast to yesterday.
Saw Rus have a big stack and go over the front, He had a fair bit of blood coming from his nose and lip, but he did a PB - so was still smiling.

Busy when I arrived - heaps people - Mick , Milsy , andrew, Russell, me , Old Pete ( not sure if he sailed), Pugs, Paul (?) Dean from Sydney) , Muzza(?), Byron, Wayne + others..
Looked a bit patchy in the flats so decided against the sinker.. should have used it as better than looked. Overpowered most of the day biceps feel like little rock , whacked my shin again still got bruises from last week..
Pretty choppy. Starting to follow people and it's paying off.Got the 31.74 on the slower board. I was going to practise alphas today but didn't do many gybes as too overpowered or shallow and patchy. Best alpha on the 68ltre.
All sailed out..
The channel you have to get through to get to the flats - this is in a lull..
Proud Russ. Sorry mate -not the most flattering shot..
War wounds..sorry scary closeup..
It was worth it!
Some of the regulars..L to R Milsy , ( I'm not even going to try and keep up with the latest name..) Andrew and Mick. Andrew was very popular.. might have been the free Xmas cake that was next to him?
Same again except insert me..

Arrived for the arfternoon shift & everyone started to pack up. Was it something I said or did they think I was a workcover inspector there to catch all those who ought to have been at work. So Tibor & I had it to ourselves & a very pleasant sail it was too. Nicely powered up, a few holes but I would noy call it gusty. casl62, 5.9, 19muf

Great afternoon of bump and jump at Marmong with Cluffy, Ian and Gert. Initially rigged 5.0 and too small, then 6.1 and too big, but went down to 5.7 and just right.

Tabou 3S 86 litre Severne Blade 5.3
What an awesome southerly I've been waiting so long. Epic bump and jump conditions it was so good it was like 2 hours of post orgasmic bliss. The 3S 86 was going off like a frog in a sock blasting over the rough stuff like it was nothing. It's hard to explain, it was borderline out of control and skittery as hell but smooth and effortless as well. That's what the 3S does it's rough water heaven. First decent go of the Blade 5.3. the only other time was massively overpower in a nuke detonation westerly. I had some missgivings of the Blades wind range after the westerly but it went magnificently well. The top end was awesome but the revelation was the excellent bottom end. The blade was beautifully light and balanced I'm extremely happy with it. It was quite rough conditions but effortless sailing due to the spot on gear I was lucky enough to have.
Did I mention big rollers lol some of the gybes down the faces felt like trial bay and massive jumps holy crap.
