Working on footstrap placements getting onto the plane. The breeze at Melville was very patchy today.

Wind was directly onshore to start, and I sailed a long way down the beach.
After Lukie had a go, I had another turn and the wind was much stronger. Going fast is great fun.

I had a good day today and we brought our Ripsticks and I had fun.

Social Sunday - Patrick lent me his Patrik Freerides (cheers Patrick) - nice comfy and quick boards - the 155L Patrik was as fast today as the Mistral 137.
The smaller Patrik a knot slower - wind was a gusty 10 to 18 knots so I guess that explains it.

Rocket 125, 23 Delta, 7.0 Overdrive.
I was hoping to try for a distance PB today, unfortunetly the wind turned off when there was still a couple of hours daylight left so I missed out, oh well maybe next time.

I arrived midafternoon and missed the best of the wind, which dropped off about the time I hit the water. Consequently I was underpowered for the whole session and struggled to gybe (especially on starboard tack) and get upwind. Not a top ten fangy day for me.
It was a top ten fangy day in terms of turnout though. I don't think I have ever seen so many sailors at Coodanup. It was good to catch up with the ususal suspects from the CST and Mandurah Mob, Firiebob, GS, who was introducing a friend to Fangy's, Ricey who was very happy with his session (fingers crossed for a PB) and Alan, who was hoping for a distance PB but got caught just short when the wind switched off.

Fun arvo in nice flat conditions. Great to see my mate Stu out on the river. JJ and Ports out too.

An enjoyable afternoon on the ocean - no savage chop and the wind was around 20 knots for most of the afternoon with a few stronger gusts.

Yes! A great day - PB distance and pinched Fangy's favorite parking spot.
Only just managed the distance because of the dying wind, but managed to milk it to the end, to just get over the 100km mark.
Rocket 125 (not the fastest flat water board but it certainly is good in very light wind as well as in the chop), Turbo 7.5, delta 24 weedy.

3547 days ago Coodanup, WA, AU - IS101, CR6.5, Delta 23. Rigged up too small a sail as the wind was slowly dropping. Was a good session at Coodanup though and will definately be back.
Well done to the juniors on so many PB's. And Ricey, great distance! And you still had a big grin on your face as I drove past.
