Coolrider 160 litre, NP V6 5.5m2

Working on footstrap placements getting onto the plane.  The breeze at Melville was very patchy today.

Melville Beach, WA, AU

Coolrider 160 lire, Unifibre 1.5m2

Wind was directly onshore to start, and I sailed a long way down the beach.

After Lukie had a go, I had another turn and the wind was much stronger. Going fast is great fun.

I had a good day today and we brought our Ripsticks and I had fun.

Another fun session before the hordes got out. Lucky to find a park with Sculptures by the Sea on!

Melville Beach, WA

Social Sunday - Patrick lent me his Patrik Freerides (cheers Patrick) - nice comfy and quick boards - the 155L Patrik was as fast today as the Mistral 137.

The smaller Patrik a knot slower - wind was a gusty 10 to 18 knots so I guess that explains it.

Coodanup, WA, AU

Rocket 125, 23 Delta, 7.0 Overdrive.

I was hoping to try for a distance PB today, unfortunetly the wind turned off when there was still a couple of hours daylight left so I missed out, oh well maybe next time.

Coodanup, WA, AU 6.4K, 91Mistral, 223 Pepeweed

I arrived midafternoon and missed the best of the wind, which dropped off about the time I hit the water. Consequently I was underpowered for the whole session and struggled to gybe (especially on starboard tack) and get upwind. Not a top ten fangy day for me.

It was a top ten fangy day in terms of turnout though. I don't think I have ever seen so many sailors at Coodanup. It was good to catch up with the ususal suspects from the CST and Mandurah Mob, Firiebob, GS, who was introducing a friend to Fangy's, Ricey who was very happy with his session (fingers crossed for a PB) and Alan, who was hoping for a distance PB but got caught just short when the wind switched off.

Fun arvo in nice flat conditions. Great to see my mate Stu out on the river. JJ and Ports out too.

Pinnaroo Point, WA, AU

An enjoyable afternoon on the ocean - no savage chop and the wind was around 20 knots for most of the afternoon with a few stronger gusts.

Yes! A great day - PB distance and pinched Fangy's favorite parking spot.

Only just managed the distance because of the dying wind, but managed to milk it to the end, to just get over the 100km mark.

Rocket 125 (not the fastest flat water board but it certainly is good in very light wind as well as in the chop),  Turbo 7.5, delta 24 weedy.

Leighton Beach, bit more wind than I expected but still a bit of fun. 7.3 Mistral 112

GS (4113km):

Coodanup, WA, AU - IS101, CR6.5, Delta 23.  Rigged up too small a sail as the wind was slowly dropping.  Was a good session at Coodanup though and will definately be back.

Well done to the juniors on so many PB's.  And Ricey, great distance! And you still had a big grin on your face as I drove past.

Well done to the Bird flock! You scored a nestful of PB's today. Faster and further than ever before. Well done.

Alan, well done on a second best distance, pity the wind switched off early. A top 5 hour for you today too, which is a good effort considering the light wind. I think that could be best hour of the day for Coodanup. Maybe it was a top ten Fangy day after all...

Geoff, good to see you got some water time again.

Huge effort Ricey! Congratulations on a big PB! Distance on a day like today was hard work. A top 5 hour for you too (not easy today), and best of all, Pinnaroos back in second spot! Thanks for the effort guys!

Ricey, I'm not sure pinching Fangy's parking spot was a good idea. He has been a very generous host so far and has even turned a blind eye to the lack of honour box contributions by visitors, but that might be a bit much.

Well done RiceyCool

Pinching Fangys parking reminded me of my second last trip down there. Fangy showed up and only him and me there, we yarned for five and he buzzed orf to get his kit around the corner.

He was back in 10 minutes, in that time the joint was overrun with like minded windsurfers. Hardly standing room, let alone parking spotsSurprisedLaughing

Poor bugger couldn't believe his eyes. Laughing

Reckon somebody should make a special gate and only Fangy has the keys, so he can park there inside the poles, off the road in peaceCool

You mob are always welcome - the more the merrier ( except Mineral of course - it's important we maintain some standards of decency and decorum)
