OD 6.2 falcon 99l, then OD 5.6 falcon 5.6. Weedies - keef 25cm dezza edition, then the original favourite keef RED weedie fin.

well was today the best Monday to take a days leave from the office or what!! Far out!! I printed off a holiday form last Wednesday, floated in conversation with the boss that I might need to take a day off to 'do some stuff at home', watched the forecast rest of week, and put the form into the holiday forms in-tray on Friday morning. Best day out, beautiful and sunny at lake illawarra, plenty of water in the lake today. When I arrived around mid morning, Jase and Gav were already there, Jase had hit the water at 7.30am, thats KEEN.

Bit of argy bargy about what size sail, Gav went 6 something, guy on other side of me went 6 something, so I put the 7m back, and rigged the 6.2. Got myself into a new chest zip wettie purchased from Gerringong surfshop in their sale yesterday, 20% off, get yourselves down there. Then I realised I had the thing on the wrong way round, knee pads at back of the legs, talk about embarassing. Gav and Jase either didnt notice or are far too polite to say. Got it off and back on the right way just before Keef and CRAIG COLE arrived, thank god I had the wetsuit on right way round before they got there. Actually it was a bit suspicious they arrived at the same time, I reckon Graig had gone to Subway with Keef to chat to the girls that helped Keef out of his wettie last week.

Great sail on the 6.2m and the 99l for an hour, then the wind picked up, so back to base to rig the 5.6 then out for rest of day on the 79l. Was overpowerd quite a bit on the 5.6, so I dont know how CRAIG COLE held down his 7.8

Got some good OD rigging tips from Nudist, cheers Mark, and thank u v much for the batten extenders, will have some rigging time next weekend to get that sail set up.  While we were talking sail rigging, we saw Craig carrying Keefs gear to the water with Keef following. And then Craig handed the gear to Keef to sail off. I didnt realise that Captains got their gear carried to water like that.

I think there's something wrong with my GPS, the times recorded today are far too slow, maybe its too many plastic bags to keep the water out but stopping the GPS signals.

Awesome day out.

primbee nsw:au   a huge day today for the old fella after working 3 late shifts and a great day on the water for the gustgusters, started off with the 7.2 and ca55 and then dropped down to a 5/8 and a CRAIG COLE ca49 and makani 23/28 deg, the makani was generating heaps of lift and got my best speed  so changed to a custom 20/47deg settled the board down but not as fast

Great speed Gav! Dezza I was hoping to catch up with you down there on Wed / Thurs? Tongue outTongue out Can you feel a sickie coming on? Love the wettie story.

Are there any loos down there to get changed in or is it shiver time near the cars? Not keen on using a wet wetsuit on the 2nd day..brr. Hope to catch up with you all and see keef as i need a decent fin. I only have a 20cms delta or a 31cm weedie for the 79  falcon.

Where do you all launch? Ps - I finally realised the team name was gustbuster..not gutbusters..EmbarassedUndecided

 Is Primbee tidal?

Sue there are no changing rooms or toilets or hot showers or flat whites at Primbee, have to go further South at lake W for those. Best bet for the girls is a poncho towel. Apparently subway do a deal on a sandwich and wetsuit zip up, Keef has the team subway loyalty card Plus you have to watch keef if you're wanting to borrow a fin, he bites. Grrrrr.

Starting to wonder if this week will blow enough to come down..cross fingers. I won't have my big board as it takes up too much sleeping room in the van.

great PB's gav hope you can back them up on wed if there's any wind

Dezza i'm wondering , did you manage to get both legs into your wettie and one arm or two arms ,embarrassed i know how you feel , there has been the odd occasion i have put my willy warmer on back to front and it just doesn't feel rite Emoji

Dezza i'm not sure if you got the news letter from January's meeting , we have a roster system called captain assist , this month CRAIG COLE  is on roster duty , it's no big deal, all you need to do is assist the captain , changing fins ,tuning sails , basically a 10 point check and making sure the captain is being looked after and  basically it called brown nosingEmoji Emoji

Yep I had both legs and both arms in the wettie, booties on too, went to zip up and no zip on the chest, on the back  grrrr

Im a bit concerned about CRAIG COLE leaving us, GRRR who's going to run the clubhouse while he's away as well as who's going to be captain assist? I think we need an extraordinary general meeting to discuss
