3348 days ago Steve and I ended up at pittwater today in a south westerly, just to see how it would go. Ended up being amazing, water was super flat, breeze was stiff (if a bit gusty at times) and the speeds were good! Keen to get back there in a slightly more southerly direction and see if it less gusty. A great way to get back in to short boarding after a hiatus over winter!

Long day. Got to Dorans around 9am, rigged the 6.2/87 and went out in some really choppy S/SW. Got half way through a one hour then the wind came in over 30 knots for 5 mins, swung S and dropped right off. Packed up, Steve from Brissi turned up to see where we sail. We then headed to PW but there was no wind there at all. Will phoned and said it was windy at Howrah Beach so sailed there for a while but it was pretty hairy at times. When it came in around 30 knots I had enough. Jock arrived and he and I decided to give PW another look. This is where the day got interesting. Got to 5 Mile and the wind was cross off S/SW and was looking pretty good. Like Jock said nice and flat and you could do long runs. Had a ball in some really easy sailing conditions. Huge potential and will be awesome in a straight southerly. Only issue as with some other places we sail is the tide. Really need a high tide. Only posted from the Pitt water sesh.
