That was so hard today. Sailed from Mortimer up to the neck of South Arm with Dave and Ferg. Karren, Fos and Buzzy were also up there. Dave was on a mission to do 300pluskm so Ferg and I wanted to back him up for distance. Really windy on the way up and then once I got to the top it wasnt windy enough for the kit I was on. Had to keep pointing the whole time just to keep up wind. Any way good fun and great to be out.

TGale (7976km):
3431 days ago Dorans, TAS, AU Great session on the big board going upwind from Doran's to Mortimer and then a downwind return, just checking out that stretch of water. Wind was too patchy for a good 1 hour on the way back unfortunately. Surprised to see so many out at the Sourth Arm neck and in the Mortimer car park, looked like some serious sailing going on! SBRioM, Gator 6.5, Rockit 38cm.

Tough 5 hour sail today, goal was distance but did an hour too, dropped the rig 4 times though. All good practice.

3430 days ago 1 categories Mortimer Bay, TAS, AU Starboard iSonic 2014 110L, 7.0m ODR6, Drake DW 40cm, then changed to 7.8 ODR5, Drake DW 42cm
Long day. Got down to mortimer at 6:15am and there was no wind! Waited 2hrs and then it came in with a bang. Wasn't forecast to be too strong, so rigged the 7.0 on the 110. Did 230km and then came in and changed up tot he 7.8 which was a lot better.
Great to have so many sailors out today, zipping around everywhere! Wind could have been a bit stronger, but pretty consistent, so can't complain. Glad that's my distance over for the year!!

Wind was a bit up and down. Extremely happy with the outcome, wind didnt play ball to keep it any higher and gybing was lazy and stalled. Was going to sail back up and try for a NM but arms didnt want to trudge back up the bay.
