Big day on the Basin with my first attempt at slalom racing. Boy was I impressed with the talented sailors out there! Six races back to back pretty much saw me broken but satisfied.

3287 days ago NSW state slalom titles day! Windsurfed with my Dad, my brother Alex and his friends Kye and Rhys today. Half an hour GPS Freerace followed by four Slalom races. It was epic. I used my biggest sail - 3.1 metre Severne Synergy. I went really fast and sailed for more than 3 hours and loved it. We all had a great time. I was the only girl competing today.

Kye's first Slalom event today and he came third! Half hour GPS Freerace followed by about 6 slalom all-in heats.
Long windsurfing session today and sailed with Alex, Rhys and Elli as well as the adults (including me).
Well done Kye! You've learnt heaps today. Hope you had fun and your blisters heal fast!

NSW Slalom Youth State Champion 2015/16!
It was awesome to have my sister Elli and best friends Kye and Rhys sailing with me at this event - I had the best time ever!
It was great to race with the adults too! Apparently I came 7th overall!
Congratulations to Rhys for coming second and Kye for coming third. And Elli (the only girl in the event) did really well staying out there for as long as she did and she even managed to beat the guys at least once.
It looks like Dad can't extract Rhys' GPS data (something's gone wrong with the card) but he would have got a heap of PBs since he hasn't had the GPS on in ages and he's improved heaps since the last time. Rhys had a 3.6metre sail and I don't know all his scores but we saw that his GPS display was showing above mine for his maximum speed. Congratulations Rhys! We'll put the other GPS unit on you next time you sail and it will definitely show the PBs you have earnt.
