Pinnaroo Point, WA, AU Almost as rough as Pinneroo gets. Wave board was a best choice. I know it is not supposed to go fast but it did go over 30 kts a couple of time before I had to slow it to avoid attacking waves in the shape of icebergs. Great fun and it showed that my fitness still has a long way to go. JP real wave 83l, 26 wave weed, 5.4 Infinity.

Eeerrr....What a Kitemare!Yell Yep, as predicted on a 20+kn weekend there was an abundance of out of control kites in the Pond. Or maybe I'm a little sensitive today as a near death experience occured while doing a leisurely 33kn. I had plenty of room around me on a starboard tack but some silly young lad headed toward me either tried a little jumpy thing or just couldnt handle the power, then all i can remember is seeing a kite bearing straight down in front of me followed by a salty whitewash then some cartwheels only to rise from the shallows tangled in some kite linesSurprised Uumm I'm afraid my defensive instinct took hold so i was very slightly mad and a few if not all abusive expletives were harmoniously relayed to the young lad expressing my dissatisfaction to his unfortunate mishap. ''Sorry I'm still learning'' he replied. Baaaarrrpppp, wrong answer!!!.....those foul words just kept coming out of my mouth advising him that maybe with all of the traffic and strong wind that mayyybeee its not wise to be in this spot while learning or somebody might just get hurt or even worse.... Anyway enough of that, but its a good reminder of how unpredictable things can be. (and to think i posted on a SB forum suggesting we all get along just fineEmbarassed)

On a much better note it was great to be out doing some runs with Jake, his friend Mark and Sammy. Was pretty hairy in the rough stuff with the speed board but it needs to be done to know what its like (scary in the rough actually) Well powered on the 6.2 but for some strange kite crashing reason i have a broken batten or two so i dont think my sail was performing at its best. Lucky thats all that was broken i suppose. Yep a really great day.

Huge speed for a waveboard at Pinnaroo, Lezz! That would have been a real test of fitness for anybody.

The pond on a weekend? Kitemare city.

Glad you only broke some battens, Craig.
