Stanley, TAS, AU  Lucked out on the wind direction. Obs looked a nice SW as I rigged, and as I packed up. But almost straight S the whole time I was on the water. Shoulda been at Montagu.  Fortunately Cookie got it right  ... maybe next time.

Marion Bay, TAS, AU. W49, R6 5.6 and Vector DWS 23cm.

What an awesome sail and spot record at Marion today in a reverse NE. Had 39 on the dial which so nice to see. Direction was S/SW and the perfect angle, blowing a solid 25-30 knots the whole time. Dave and I have talked about sailing in this direction for a long time. I ran in to Tim Gale a couple of weeks ago in town and we were talking about it then as well. Such a much better direction than our tradition NE, who would have thought. Was super shallow in a lot of areas, low tide and fin was scrappingthe bottom a few times. Great dayLaughing

Montagu, TAS, AU, A good fun sail after the first run and a half. Felt like i put myself into orbit early on when i took off and landed upside down

on the sail, all good though just took it a bit easier after that.

Well done Steve, that is fantastic.  It's one of those wind directions that's not very good anywhere else, so a great find!  Well done on the spot PB!!  And a 30knot NM as well!!
