sboardcrazy (25351km): patchy 10-18kts + SSW Canton Beach, NSW, AU- someone said Canton was flat again so I decided to go and try and get a better nm + hr with the longer runs there..Mmmm fail..Needed my 7m which was in for repairs.. 6.4m Bullit + 89ltre + 30cms weedie - underpowered. I only got in the rear straps once or twice and it was hard work staying on the plane and getting upwind. I didn't bear off or reach much as I was trying to do long runs and keep upwind. Mick started to do an hr but gave it away and I was tempted especially since the last 15 mins was often off the plane.. Oh well I tried! Buggered after that but rigged the 7.8m + 115 xcross + 38cms makani weedie as it had died to 10-15kts patchy.. Of course it kicked in a bit once I went out and some of the 18-20kt gust were interesting with the big gear. Tiring again although I did get my act together occasionally and felt great trying to ride the fin. Canton is scarier than Budgy as the weed isn't on the surface much and there are occasional clumps that aren't very obvious. I hit one and practically stopped. Luckily I wasn't going very fast but my rear foot wasn't in the straps and it gave me a fright. Saw someone else go over the front. The 89 felt too wide between the straps - the rear strap felt too far back but I think it was just that I was underpowered.. I don't think I can position them in any narrower a stance.. Could have been a good session with the 7m sail..Milsy was flying with his 7m. As I packed up it kicked in a pretty consistent 18-20kts which would have been ideal for an hr attempt with the 79ltre + 6.4m.. Flatter than it has been - like the small chop at Budgy..Frothie looked awesome flying in to shore with his 10m sail. Wish I had a camera. He looked like a real professional! Milsy, Mick, Pete ,Frothie , Wally + others..The freeriders were flying with their 5.4m sails as I left..grr Spent the pm dozing to catch up on lack of sleep and recovering from the session.. Love to get a consistent 18-20kt wind to have a decent go! Even the nm had a gybe in it..grr Llooking at the track replay it amazes me how I tend to gybe in excatly the same place each run!
adamhatfield (2074km): Fantastic sail today, absolutely loved it another great southerly at marmong. Loads of people out. Rocket 115, NP Atlas 6.2 Marmong Point, NSW, AU
edit: nice to final get a PB even if it is just distance could have definitely improved on that but duty called!
Byron Mcilveen (64786km): Bonnells Bay, NSW, AU TR9 maui 8.4, exocet RS4, v max 43. drove to coal point and no wind around 8 knots. Drove back home and went out at brightwaters. It got beter and beter pretty happy with top speed in chop with 8.4. Yachts every where due to heaven can wait reggatta. We should have gone in this, would have been unreal. we could have won it on a windsurfer for sure. But looked all week and forcast was not that good they got it wrong again.
Bruce Healey (24403km): Marmong Point, NSW, AU Looked like a dying southerly so Tibor & I rigged FW & did a few laps as it came instrong. WE DECIDED SLALOM was the go so rigged 6.6, CASL62, 36 fin & we did about 12e3 short races. James looking fast till he & Steve collided causing sail & board to be admitted to intensive care. The tracks don't include the FW bits. Not fast but felt adequate in the chop. Really good day.

James Farley (12772km): Marmong Point, NSW, AU Exocet RS4 / RS6, TR8 7.6, Vmax 41/51 - Wind SSW 18-20 knots Surprisingly windy at Marmong this afternoon. As Bruce said we decided to run slalom racing with a fleet of 7. Enjoyed the first race, which I won. At the the end of the second race was neck and neck with Steve when he lost it and his sail hit the water in front of me. Nowhere to go so hit hissail and mast at full speed. Small hole in my sail but the fin and board took the brunt of the crash. Nasty compression crack in the deck unfortunately but should be fixable I hope. Went out later the with bigger RS6 board and had a few good runs. Took a stack of photos and will post up later on.

Mick Saunders (12214km): Marmong Point, NSW, AU SE 20-25 knts and i didnt bring a slalom board. Bruce and Tebor tested the conditionds for a good half hour on formula and then went to slalom gear. Well done men as that would not have been pleasure sailing. I had a go and doubled chickened back home. While slalom races were on. The wind fell to 18 knts and then i was brave enough to some 100m runs as the water was too rough to venture out further.....so says I. There was breakage's and sail damage, . Nev and crew did a rescue for the sail club next door . A big day.
rus13b (5160km): Valentine, NSW, AU mistral sl112, reflex 7m tribal 36 sl1. got to valentine about 10am no wind & nothing but yatchs every were, went home & it picked up about 1.30 headed bak dwn & got a couple of hrs in. was gd at first then picked up a bit for a while & dropped to not much, bobbing all the way bak in a few other guys there 3 or 4, need a bigger fin i think.
Tibor (18244km): Marmong Point, NSW, AU Great arvo at the old club! First a bit of formula till the wind got too strong then in to salom for the rest of the day. James was the fastest as usual the rest of us tried not too fall too much! Good fun!
