Burrum Heads, QLD, AU. Isonic 97/R6 7.0 and Volt 36cm.

Had to go for the mid size gear if I wanted to get a good 2 sec and 5x10. Just need another knot or 2 in wind strength. Did a huge amount of off the wind bare aways. The gear just wasnt big enough. Hit the sand bar at 28 knots and catapulted over the front. stood up in ankle deep water. Cracked the nose of the board but luckily walked away ok. I was pushing so hard today and taking a few silly risks.

Burrum Heads, QLD, AU Fantastic finale to an excellent regatta, have used the same board and sail the whole time. six days of continuous sailing.

Feel like it is time for a lay day but freesail tomorrow. Will we be up for it?

Burrum Heads, QLD, AU  Another day on the northern run ,looked like it would be windier today so used the small rig 8.0 Hot GPS and JP 68 but wind was about the same as the others.Thats 6 days in a row of sailing and 1 to go. Knackered but happy.

Thanks for the comments guys. Happy to come second overall in the 2 sec behind Vando. He is a top bloke and deserved itLaughing Well done to Bear and Stew who pushed so hard for 5 days in a row (actually 6 days of sailing). Overall the wind was really light but to sail every day was fantastic. Stew well done on the 2 PbsTongue out Well done also to Byron who is an awesome sailorCool This is such a great well organised event so thanks guys.

PS I think there might be a bit more sailing tomorrowSmile

PSS Did I buy that long board at the charity auction tonight, cannot remember after all those beers. Bear I dont think it will fit in your van.

Well done Steve, Bear & Gordo. Good effort going all the way up there to compete and sounds like all enjoyed and all worthwhile. Sounds like such a well run event, some good events they have in Qld.
