Dorans, IS90 R3 5.6 Rocket 32. First sail in a fair few months and it was a goodie. Windiest Easterly I've ever seen at Dorans.

Marion Bay, TAS, AU Tough going at Marion, lots of wind. Sailed with Dave, Steve, Ferg and nice to see Cookie down for a run in some not so flat water. Used JP59 Hot GPS 6.0 and a crappy weed fin.

Marion Bay, TAS, AU iSonic 86, 5.6 OverDrive, BP weedspeed 31.

Windiest I've sailed Marion.  Mainly doing runs through the chop and then into the flatter water where the weed bed is.  Had 40 on the dial, but dropped back below 40 (as it often does)!  Everyone absolutely going for it today in some pretty extreme conditions.  Could be the day that 40 knots is achieved once, maybe twice at Marion!!  Fergus needs an award for pushing it as hard as he did for a 16 year old - well done fergus!!  Great to be sailing with Cookie, who had made the trip down to sail Marion for the first time.

Ferg (5153km):

Marion Bay, TAS, AU. Isonic 87, Vector DWS 24cm and ODR5 5.1.

Marion Bay, TAS, AU. Isonic 87, Vector weedy 27cm and 5.6 R7 5.6.

Awesome sail with Bear, Rob, Nick, Dave, Kaleb, Ken, Cookie and Ferg. It was the best I have ever seen it at Marion with heaps of wind. Had over 40 on the dial which was fantastic.

Well done with awesome speeds Ferg, Dave, Kaleb and Bear. Ferg you were pushing it hard I was getting a bit worried you were going to have a big stack. Gutsy sailing and a big well done. Great effort making the trip down south Cookie, well done.

Ha Ha!  Well you just would not believe it would you.  Though I had Steve by that much.  Looks like mine dropped a bit more.  Awesome day, big well done to Ferg.

Isonic 90 Overdrive 5.6  25cm weed speed

Dorans, TAS, AU  No time to get to Marion today but squeezed in a short sail after work at Dorans. Rigged a 5.7 but was mostly dogging then rigged a 6.5 and started moving and ended up sailing in the dark for a bit which was a bit awkward given the chop and gusts. iSonic 90, Gator 6.5, Drake DW 34

Marion Bay, TAS, AU, An interesting day at Marion Bay, spent most of the time watching the locals go for it. Some really great speeds

sailing over a couple of small weed beds in very windy and rough conditions. So close to 40 guys but not to be. Ferg you were looking

just as fast as anyone out there today great to see.

M112, R6 5.6, A weedy borrowed from Steve.

Amazing stuff guys, 3 x 39's, presumably the "twins" are now sharing the spot record, and also Ferg's 37.7 would have been the spot record only a year ago! And cookie hasn't posted yet....

Cheers guys, we will get over 40 there. It was only 3 months ago that Fergs score would have been the spot record. Now we know where to sail to get the fastest speeds. Also you have to have a good weed fin.....

The weed bed - small, but looks even smaller on Google Earth!  Black lines are 10 second, blue line is 100m and red line is 2 second peak!
