Such a windy day and I managed to be totally under powered for all but 2 runs. Still, my third fastest day so I should be happy with it, but would have loved it to be my fastest. Kept on hoping the next gust would be the one. Still great to get out but eventually I got too cold to carry on and had to get out once I started involinatary shivering.

About 10,30 started rigging, wind up & down with some 30+ squalls, but I think I missed out on them ones.
Not the best but better than the last time I was here, my diggits started to freez so got out.
STILL COLD out !!!

2986 days ago Fastest I've been at Sodiers Cove, but no where near anticipated speeds. Stacks of wind in the gusts but just too square. The graphs say it was WSW perhaps it really needs SW. Some big squalls when I arrived so plugged the 4.4 into the 43 with 19cm 45deg weedy.
Not sure what I should have done, the 4.4 was too small most of the time, but in the real gusts too big, 'oath and I both got creamed by one around 40kts, just going too slow and too square when it hit, lifted me out of the water and slamned me down. (this may be why my right knee is playing up now.)

Had the GW52 on my helmet and GT31 on my arm, first good run showed 33.03kts on the GT 31, last run that I thought was my best it showed 33.7, Strangely the GW52 gives that first run as my best with that 34. Haven't checked the GT31 data yet but I suspect it may have slipped around my arm affecting it's reception.
Then on the way back upwind I hit another big squall and got catapulted, hit the boom with my glasses and shoulder, broke the glasses and the broken arm had a go at my eyebrow, by the time Shane saw me I looked a big mess, (I think there'll be some photos), but after we cleared the blood away, there isn't much damage at all.
The shoulder is my biggest worry, I'm typing this with OK, but if I raise my arm or load it up, there's a very sharp twinge, can't decide if I want to go and wait half the night at Peel Health emrgencydept for an X-ray, or wait till monday and get a referal. Don't want continuing shoulder problems to keep me out of the water, as seabreezes are about to start.
Hmm, think I better send my 2 files to Daffy to see what he thinks, the GT31 has my first good run as 32.9, that's a huge difference. Not sure I can claim the 34. they both agree on the 2nd best rum more closely Gw 33.897, Gt 33.667, so depending what Daffy says, I may have to go with that.
