Thanks Jeremy, yet again my top alpha was right at the start of my session. Not sure if I get tired, over analyse what I am doing or why this keeps happening. Still, not complaining :-)

Elmo I remember you doing a 26 at 50.07 m. I kave got to keep trying to be ahead of you in alphas. It was pretty good today. Now if only I could get even close to your 2s or 5x

Fantastic Steve, this is what happens when you wear the GPS on your head, absolutely no doubt about the result, a perfectly clean track, doppler and trackpoints perfectly co-inciding, and an SDoP evenvelope so small it's barely visible.

GPSResults gives 25.558, max speed 30.343, min speed 16.037, distance 499.6.

And look at the separation, so close to 50m it's a bit of a worry, only had to go 2m wider and it would have been invalid.

Have you installed alpha markers Steve?

Many thanks Mike. No markers, just fortunate judgement. I said to Jeremy I had at least one good one, but it could be a 22 or a 27 and who knows about proximity.Happy with the pb. I am looking forward to more sessions like today, but with my 6.3. The 7.0 is a bit cumbersome in the gybe but does give grunt for the legs. I may do better heading up wind a bit just before the turn to give me some more leeway.

I think the 7.0 tends to result in a larger radius and therefore a bit of upwind in the return leg. With my 24 fin and 6.3 I think I can turn tighter.

Oh Fangy I have inched ahead of you inthe alpha division. Thanks for the congrats. It was cold this afternoon. I had a short arm long leg wtsuit and was cold. Winter draws on

The trouble with joining any of these clubs, such as the 25 kt 26 kt or 27kt alpha club, is as Groucho Marx once said "I wouldn't want to be a member of any club that would have me as a member" Its always wanting to be a member of a club your not qualified to be a member of that is the challenge
