Ant-man (13419km): Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU. CA 95 then Fanatic 79 - 7m Naish GP. Pretty good wind for a westerly. Very up and down. I found it hard to really lock in on the speed runs due to the variabiity. Fun day on the water with a few mates.
Byron Mcilveen (64411km): Green Island, QLD, AU Day three one round of slalom made winners final and got 4th. GPS 1hr made a bad call and went with 7m was way underdone and it was hard work to stay planing at least i was on the rs4 but would have been unreal on the 7.7 but thats the 1 hr everything must go your way when you are sailing against the best. Dont know results yet but top 4 will be close.
Bostonfoil (17127km): Teralba, NSW, AU RS4 KAR 7.1 Venom 36 Waited half the day the day for wind and when it came it was as gusty as ive seen it here. Changing direction constantly and super choppy. Hung on for a couple of good gusts and got a site and big board PB. Gybed like a busted arse due to my crap KA Race not rotating. Expectations are always low at Teralba but it really sucked today. With Lyds.
Greg Kiskarpati (20777km): Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU RS4 / Warp 7.0 / kestrel 22 First sail in almost 6 months , wind up and down but awesome to have some breeze for once , really happy with the nautical.
Murray Towndrow (8653km): Green Island, QLD, AU 117 7.7 42 zulu
| ||||||||||||||||||
James Farley (12722km): Green Island, QLD, AU Exocet RS4, TR8 6.6, JP 38 Wind 12-20 knots Day 3 Green Island. 6.6 was the right choice at the start when we launched in a rain squall but then was underpowered the rest of the day. Racing finished at 1:30 so got to spend the afternoon on the beach with the kids which was a lot of fun.
sboardcrazy (25098km): 5-22kts Nw - Sw Peel st Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU Hard work.. started with the 7m OD - 89 falocn - 18cm delta then 79ltre falcon then Xcross 155ltre + 22delta Xt Stayed on the little board too much as I wanted to enjoy the gusts but it wasn't powered up enough to keep upwind well. Depth a bit better today which was nice as I wasn't worried about hitting bottom. Most fun was at the end of the day . I'd checked the trip meter and not much to go for a Pb so took the big kit out..it had died down but some big gusts came through and the fin was whistling it's head off . The delta just cut through the weedbergs but the Xt gave some big jerks at times and I thought I was going to go over the front. Ended up sailing around them. Only fell in once. I got a big gust and the big board got lifted into the air and I went off the back.. I think I'll be sore tomorrow. Not really the day for distance and should have been on a bigger board. I persisted with the 7m longer than usual in some big gusts.. One thing about these sessions the extra kilos are dropping off! Andrew , Greg , Gareth ,Tony and later Milsy & Mick
Andrew Haigh (50238km): Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU. Isonic 90, 7.0m 18 Delta then 20 Kestral Long day at the office. Started really light, gradually got better and better, then faded away late. Very changable wind directions. |
