Bostonfoil (17127km): Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU RS2 RSS 7.8 Delta 20 (Lyds mod) WSW 5-22kts - Really wanted the alpha PB today but missed by 0.23. Gybed really well and was flying through, and out of the gybe but just couldn't get my set up right. Would have been a bit quicker with the 7M but enjoyed planing most of the day on the 7.8 and wasn't overpowered. Great to see everyone again after such a long dry spell.
Andrew Haigh (50238km): Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU Isonic 90, 18 Delta and 7.0m. Finally a little bit of wind. Super flat water and loads of thick sticky weed. Loads out maybe as many as 20 Greats PBs Boston!
mick13B (2059km): Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU isonic 101 hsm 6.6 20 krestral / 20 mxr ufo great to be on the water again under done on the 6.6 harness didnt fit right was loose all day lots of weed to go round plenty of sailors going round
sboardcrazy (25098km): 10 -20kts w - WSW Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU 7m OD - 89ltre falocn - 18cm delta then 79ltre falcon then 89falcon Launched at 7th avenue because Peely was chockers from parked cyclist cars..Fun!! Luckily I used the 7m as the weed was very thick and you needed to be powered up to get through it . Would have preferred to have launched from Peely as I never really felt I had enough room for bearaways so being up above the weed and bearing into it would have been better. Disappointed with the nm as it felt fast..I could hear the fin going click click along the bottom at times which is why I whimped and came up at the end.. Warning- don't dismount at any places where a creek comes into the lake..I found some LG worthy sludge today.. I fellin and then had a hard time getting up again- black smelly thigh deep sludge...still ponging.. Only Wyser , Milsy & I at 7th..Heaps out. I didn't get many gybes in as it was too shallow- pity as it would have been fun.. My new warmer booties have a sharp plastic bit between the toes and are very painful so I tried a bit of foam between my toes today. Worked a treat for the first 2 hrs before it compressed so I'll have to put double the layers next time..
Going to need some painkillers to night I think...
Byron Mcilveen (64411km): Teralba, NSW, AU then bonnels bay wanted to sail in chop with a pointer. exocet RS4, S2 venom 7, select V max 37. first time on this combo as only used 7 m a few times and never had a 37 fin before. up and down and just didnt blow like it was meant to but at least a sail. 5 months of shit is going to make Green island look even more amazing than normal.
Ant-man (13419km): Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU. Fun session on the Hucker. Heaps out |
