Henty, TAS, AU   You gotta love Henty Adventures with the Cookie Monster. Today’s episode was one of the more interesting. Passed heaps of snow on the trip down, and heaps of melted snow was flooding the Henty. Highest level on the run I’ve seen and the strongest  current making  things difficult and a tad risky at times.

My toasty 5/4/3 wetsuit, 5mm boots and 3mm hood kept me warm at all times, so I was able to enjoy the crazy experience. As Bill Connolly says: There is no such thing as too cold, there is only the wrong clothes.

Henty, TAS, AU, A quick sail with Baz. A lot of water in the Henty today, felt like snow melt to me. WNW while rigging but SW when we hit the water.

Only did a couple of runs, it was very broard after that.

If Steve sailed again today I think he's doing the wrong sport. Steve I think you should be a snow boarder or skier in these conditions seeing you like sailing in the snow.

Nice one Lyds, if I,d hung on for another 100 m might have cracked 30. Back in Tassie for the spring Astrid, my 2-month leave pass ran out. heaps of good surf and warm water in the Yamba to Lennox area meant I didn't need to go further north. a good surf at Bells helped me to acclimatize for Tassie water before I got on the ferry, but there's nothing like the frozen flood swollen Henty to make sure you're properly readjusted.
