Just a casual cruise on a Saturday morning. Looked like the best wind of the weekend, was gusting 7 to 10 knots.

My second go with the filleted delta and sort of complete opposite conditions.  I did get paning a few times and while the fin did not get me going as quickly as a suitable pointer about 45cm it was certainly not bad and considering Liptons was low tide and there was a lot of weed around it was a lot more fun than a pointer would have been there.

My hour speed tells the story best, just bobbing around in displacement mode mostly.

I think I saw Stroppo way downwind for a while. He didn't seem to be on a foil but it was a long way away.

JP NP foil with 7.0m

Great session at the yacht club with Stropp, it was finally all starting to come together.....until third run came of and kicked foil, nice big slice on my foot, stilll not bleeding so carry on.

Couple of runs later athe the other end of the run (the far away bit) start foiling past strop come unglued and stack it totaley destroying my boom clamp, drift into sand bar and start walking in through the mud and ooze till shaoolow enough then did a bit of jury rigging with my adjustable outhaul rope and managed to chug back to base.

cut now filled with mud and crap, lots of fun back at home scrubbing out all the crap with a scrubbing brush, now it hurts.

Still great fun, bunna have to fix the boom and get me some booties for this malarky.

Good to see The Stroppy fella smoking a skiff on the way back.

Lilacs JP54SP TR16 7.0 Pepeweed27 then delta 19

Great fun again with Morts, Shane and Cliff. Arrived and measured 12-16 ave 14. Tide a bit lower than yesterday, decided to have a go at alphas.

Had great fun with the weed fin then swapped to delta to try to maximise the flat. Unfortunately entry speeds dropped from 30 to 27s so although exit improved still not great speeds. Oddly the exit speed hit 27 and dropped, I thinnk the wind dropped out as I do not appear top have gone too close to the wind. Image and analysis from GPSResults. Poseted from KA72. The data agrees exactly.

Had one go at the mile with Delta, never fully powered but at time it was nice and smooth.

At the start I said to Morts and Shane I wanted to see 24 knot alphas all round, I managed one fortunately. It was great fun but not perfect conditions. And Shane managed to modify his sail then go just as fast Surprised. A bit of sticky backed sail cloth and it will be like new.

Koncept 6.2, Sonic 85L + Delta 19cm

Big crowd of 5 out today. Gazman was laready on the water when I arrived and Cliff, Shane & Steve were rigging up.

Tide was lower & dropping so I went with a Delta, as a result my gybes were awful. Didn't even get close to the requested 24, best was a 22.9 at 52m Yell

Had a couple of goes at the NM, wind felt more consistent down the run than yesterday but was dragging through the weed a fair bit so not much faster.

Still not a bad way to spend an afternoon though Laughing

Albantarticans day out. Cool  Some real nice alphas and nauti's fellas.

'Ken keen, but good on yer for getting out - amazing how close you and Elmo were speedwise.  And Elmo, the saga continues with new and improved ways of muppetising yourself - at least your immune system doesn't get bored Foot in mouth ( hopefully a speedy recovery too)

Great mile Shane. I am Very happy to relinquish my nm bean after just 24 hours. You blitzed me. Great to see the modified fin working so well. Just re read your post Elmo. Not a great outcome ending with injury and kit damage.
