Glory Holes, Australind, WA, AU. CA52/GPS6.0/MUF19. Terrific day, good westerly wind and long runs up the estuary. Great to see a good turn up with a bunch of Mandurah and Busso crew turning up. For once I think we outnumbered the kiters!! Happy to get a 25 alpha, though I reckon sludge and oaf will have done better. Still pumped, great fun!! SmileSmileSmile

Coodanup, WA, Patrick 92, Isonic 110, Warp 7.0 kestrel 22 Great day on the water! Got to test out the new board and strait away felt awesome. Spent a lot of time off the plane so changed up to the 110 and took a trip to Boombas should of probably spent the entire session over there as it was almost perfect. Yeah I broke a boom whilst just sailing along and yes I hit the gravel spit despite being warned it was there but it couldn’t take the gloss off a good day out

Good conditions for my first sail since March.

First sail on the flexi tail in planing winds .

First sail with the Fangyfin 24

That fin just does not let go. Love it and am looking forward to finishing my very own purchased from the man himself at fangys today

What great fun with lots of friendly faces!

Wind strated a bit light so went with the 6.2 on the 53 with 21cm filleted 55d. Changed to the 5.8 on the 48 with 20cm filleted 55d, This combo was much better in the increased wind.

Went for an hour and alphas, looking at my tracks, that idea didn't work. I did too many short runs chasing alphas to get a good hour, especially as my gybes weren't working very well again today. But alphas is what we really needed, so I persevered, needlesly as it happened, great that slugger is in such good form and could join with stretch, for the distance and alpha.

Coodanup, WA, AU.  Put the brain into neutral and went for a sail. I sailed all over the shop just enjoying sailing, a fabulous to be alive and in the moment sort of day. Fabulously relaxed - I will post more later, responsible parenting calls...

Glory Holes, Australind, WA, Pat 100 sl, KAR 7.1, multiple fins.

Headed down to Rainbow land after a few hrs at work, no sooner had I turned on to cathedral ave and I was greeted by four unicorns being ridden along the road by some elves. Once I got past without startling them managed to find Slugger. Thought he had already done his first 100km but he hadn't been out yet. However Stretch was out smashing back and forward on the long runs knocking up the ks at pace. I was hoping to get a good hour today but unfortunately my mojo wasn't with me today and only managed a medioca one. On the other hand Stretch,Slugger,Stroppo and a bit later Oaf were flying around and the captain was doing his usual thing quietly knocking out some good ks and decent numbers. I decided to pack it in and just as I de riged the best wind of the day came in. All the same, an enjoyable day and another fantastic team effort.

Great to get down to Bunbury and a fun sail in the smooth.  Lots out and lots of smiles.

So glad the other guys managed to get the alpha we needed because the watch was showing me 25.84k alpha and I think we were counting on that.  After putting the file through KA72 that disappeard for a much more disapointing 24.837.   I have been having a look in GPSResults to try and work out what happened but it agrees with KA72. Sorry guys, but happy news, we did it anyway!

Nice going everybody and well done on the PBs

Yeehaa Funbury Boys!

Max- Congrats on the PB's and dont worry about the sail, I mean its no asthough your old man hasnt trashed a panel or two in his time. All. you have to do is learn to do it to someones elses sail, not you own.

Stretchy - Just wow on the distance, hour and u-turns. I always suspected you weren't normal mortal and this week tells me I am on the money.

Sludge - I thought you backflipped fast whenever there was a cake on offer, but that's a mighty about turn and a distance PB thrown in. Stoked for ya!

Nicely done again guys, great work by Stretch, backed up by Slugger, (with PBs as well as jelly beans), and Swindy,

Great to meet you Max, you were flying, I didn't see the damaged sail, I'll tell Derek what you've done to it.

Would have liked to meet the Busso boys but I didn't want to interupt the hour attempt.

Slug, I'm not sure, as one of the triggers is long driving, back hasn't been good after my 15,000km road trip.  What will motivate me, is shit conditions here and good conditions in shark bay.  There is one window in december when the tides are usually good and winds to match, at this stage I'm less than 50/50 to go north, but I never say never???

Edit: If there were 2 drivers, and i could lie on the back seat when the co-pilot is driving, that could make it more of a possibility??

Great pb's Max, Slugger and Stretchy and all round brilliant team effort by The Mob.

Here in SE Qld we have some wind forecast especially on the coming Monday and Tuesday , 30th and 31st......20-25-30 knots so the Board Crazy dudes will be gunning for that No 1 spot.  I'll take a sickie tomorrow (coff, coff, I'm really feeling a bit dodgy already) but, as usual, my contribution will be but a drop in the ocean. Usually coming out of my gybes.

Go The Mob.Smile
