The Train, Southport, QLD, AU   JP Slalom59, Select Carbon38, North Idol 5.3

30 knots gusting high 30's.  North 5.3 (downhaul cranked down after eating much spinach) was too big for me and plenty of others were using 4's.  Lumpy, bumpy and terrifying for the 2nd day running with only a 100 metre strip of smooth.  Maiden voyage of the JP slalom and it seems to have no problems with straight line speed. If only it had a better skipper.

Lilacs Sonic w52 TR17 6.3 Fangyfin 20 Had a headache but Jeremy was going out and I wondered if a sail would help. Hell yeah. That was a lot of fun. As Morts said it was a short course version today. Well done on your pb Jeremy that is great to see. Top stuff considering the amount of water available. I did 35 gybes in 45.988 kms. Glad I did not try a nm first, ten of thee last 12 runs were slower than the first half hour. Really enjoyed sailing the W52, it may be 16 years old but it is a cracker of a board. The Fangy in 20 was excellent today. Really nice to sail with.

That is a top 5 ( 3rd overall) for 2018. But more importantly i had loads of fun. I have become so focussed on trying to get 40 i was forgetting to enjoy myself.

Koncept 6.2, Sonic 85L + FF20

Huge thanks to Steve for coming down despite having a headache & being in front of me for the last half of the hour, gave me an incentive to keep going for it.

Bit forgetful today, left the Camelbak water pack & impact vest at home, just as well I remembered the GPS! Wind was a similar strength to yesterday but a bit more North in it, for those that have sailed there before the run was at the Green roof on Port when I launched. Tide was still very low Frown , so it ended up being a Carpark hour which shortens the run by about 400-500m & you don't have access to the real flat stuff at the town end. Very happy with that as a 25 hour was one of my personal targets this year & think I can still do better with a bit more water & a NM to start Laughing

Fangyfin 20 did exactly what I wanted of it today. Rock solid through the gybes even with less than perfect entries at times Embarassed, held it's height & I had one little lose which was immediately recovered instead of the usual Delta sideways sailing for a while going f@#k, f@#k, F@#K!

3 good days of sailing Cool

Wazzaphallicfinchoice! Foot in mouth You are on the water at last, great to see a post from you, but it is a bit disappointing with the lack of limb carnage and general destruction and all :-)

Millpond- that is a sensational hour buddy, congrats on a fantastic effort Laughing

Amazing. Opposit sides of the country and very different conditions and exactly the same 2 sec.

Morts, huge hour. Well done! A pretty nifty alpha too.

Albantarticans that is some serious circle work. Maybe not PB's for you Evets but obviously you knocked out some good sailing over an hour. Great to hear you managed ok with FF20 with sails bigger than 6.0 - I always worry people with be underfinned.
