Remi Dunoyer (24497km): Kyeemagh, NSW, AU Exocet RS3 - Loftsails RB 7.0 -35 fin Nice NE, heaps of DD chasing each other. Great day.
Artur Kowalski (21634km): Kyeemagh, NSW, AU Exocet RS3, MS TRX 7.0, V-max 35 Another hice NE with DDs and Others
AlfaMale (19180km): Kyeemagh, NSW, AU preparing for next weeks foiling championship.... Made more gybes than catapults which is good news. Practiced turning, a lot! Learned a few subtle skills, and can now gybe from 12 to 25 kts, mostly. Still touch down, but the foil is still lifting, so as soon as I replace my foot in the front strap I can bounce up. Simplz! iSonic 121L Slingshot 90cm some foil or other TRXI 7.0 early (best gybe!) Tiny 5.5 for most of the later part of the day. SO TIRED! Got heaps of gopro fottage of me, and people gybing at the beach later. Crowded waters, good to see so many out and that everyone made it back with brackages (Roar, Bas - a traveller lost his mast integrity). To bed! https://www.ka72.com/Track/t/327403
Dieter (2996km): Kyeemagh, NSW, AU lorch 95L,117 isonic,6.7 hellcat, 32 bp,39vax plenty of DD s out
Dean Seal (2158km): Atomic 100 Overdrive 7.0m 36 cm MFC fin. Was off to a slow start much to the amusment of the onlookers, however got there eventually. Thanks Remi for the lend of the universal joint. Kyeemagh, NSW, AU
JohnM (4237km): Kyeemagh, NSW, AU CA62/MS7.0/38 Another fun and friendly early start and early finish noreaster. Felt good to be on the small board for a change.
Andrew (15048km): Kyeemagh, NSW, AU 18-28kt NE || 118 Manta, 5.6/7.0OD, 42 Raptor Was blowing strong when I hit it, and easily enough to get going on the smaller gear. Stepped up after a late arvo lull, then it got it's pulse back after about 5.30 and the 7.0 was fully loaded till after 7PM. A few teething issues after rigging the 5.6OD for the first time. I had removed half a dozen or so spacers which were at the middle cam, and it basically popped off every second gybe. Will try and re-insert the spacers and see how that goes. But I did notice that the middle cam is definitely not the usual SV cam - maybe also something to do with it? (was running with the ideal mast, and downhaul was about 1cm past spec I think). By the way the sail itself ran fantastically. Super smooth and easy sailing in the top corner. Great afternoon with plenty of team mates out enjoying the smooth low tide conditions! |
