Now how good was that!!!! CoolCoolCool I think Elmo's comments nailed it!

Grinning ear to ear all afternoon..... What a session at the new spot "Elmo's Easterly" at Lipton's

Fantastic to finally meet the crew at Mandurah. Thanks to all of you for making us downsouthers feel welcome. Thanks Decrepit as it was your confirmation that Liptons was on, that got me moving and packing the car.

It took a little getting used to charging into the weed at full tilt praying to the windsurfing gods to not hit the bottom/rock/anything, but that was a hell of a feeling when the board doesnt make any noise at 30 knots!

And what a welcome WOW! please tell me that the water is that flat all the time and i'll be back again and again....

Thanks for the indepth local knowledge before the sail Stroppo and even more thanks to Elmo for taking the time to show off his new spot to us....and chasing us down to do that!

Yeah it looks windy and out of the weed it looks rough. Well what do you say guys, 6.7 & 95litre and give it a go? Ok. A few already ready to go put on 5.5, 7.0, 6.x and me & Adam rigging our 6.7Cats. Faffing around trying to shim the fin into the AB+, aaahh, now to get wet. Water is nice and isnt as shallow as i thought so off we go.... sideways! no weed just heavy me. I lasted 12km with a few blasts through the weed & glass sections. Pretty good but i wish that i could get up wind to where all the others were when we could see them way way up wind. Enter the JP into the ring at 66wide & a whopping 108litres, yay i float on this puppy!

A quick conference with adam and we head way out up wind then back. We can see where the boys are playing or at least blasting so thats the place to be. A couple of tacks up wind we have arrived and it look good too, but a bit light, ie nothing on the water, glassy like theres no wind but Steve on the NCX 5.5 is flying and Stroppo is , well doing what Stroppo does when its windy. Adam & I make our way to the start of the run with all the boys grinning, thumbs up and nodding with grit teeth. WTF is going on?

Gybe and follow some old geeza down the glassy path, shit hes fast but not doing an Hr record, this time, aaah its Decrepit! gybe again and power back as Steve flies past and gives a casual "where the hell have you been" sort of look or was it "about bloody time you joined us, capt"

Adam had clearly never been in conditions like this and me once in Albany. Yay now i remember and i like it heaps. A few tweaks and away i go again & again & again. I started getting the lay down gybes happening again and only stuffing up towards the weiry end. What a great session on the SE in Mandurah straight out from Liptons at the Island sand bar weed bank. Glorious.

Big thanks to Decrepit for giving me the local chat about 10am ans Steve for coming up from Busso, Adam for coming dow from Perth , great to be on the water with you again (since Leeman) Stroppo  great to see you again too and Elmo for the first time on his EVO & JPSL (nice kit)

Good to meet Dave, Adam and Steve at last. Glad you guys made the drive up.

Congrats on the PBs Steve, also I see 5 top 5s in the bundle of fun.

Yes, between Fangys, liptons and Boombas we can usually find water that flat somewhere. Friday Pt Grey was that flat with wind in the high 20s, that's how Stretch got his 41.
