Bit of fun with the local crew, slowy in form today, good to catch up with a few pinnas enjoying the wintery weather.

Foil session - suprisingly good fun in stronger winds - about 20 knots, gusts to 25.

Who needs weed or shallow water - smooth as, mid-river Tongue out

Great sail. Pretty patchy for speed but good fun just blasting around. WindTech 64 , Ka 6.3 Race, 29 wingfin..

A short cold session but always good to get out for a social winter sail. Many out and the usuals suspects turning and burning. Gusty and not too lumpy.

Great Winter mushfestTongue out

Had a sensational stack **please note - when putting on new footstraps make sure the screws are re-tensioned after a few runs**

Otherwise you might just have a screw on the front strap give way on a bear off, causing a catastrophic foot slippage with some batten breakage - or worse next timeEmbarassed - Now theres a handy warning.

Loads out, and damn it was chilly

Thanks guys. I was blown away when I saw the distance and thought it was an error. I was playing around with different settings on a few things trying to get as much speed as I could on a beam reach ( 90 deg) Amazing how the kays slip by when you're focussed on  something. Felt like a quick sail..and I would have guessed about 45 kms

A question to all. Whenever I download my speeds I get a knot or more taken from the reading on the watch... today it registered a 32.4 but Ka72 trimmed it to 31.4 .

Is this normal? Or am I doing something wrong? Apart from not going fast enough Embarassed

^ your speeds are part of the GST revenue, once they go over the border, you dont get it all back Tongue out

and yep I get trimmed a bit every session - I think most guys lose a little between GPS and post. I am guessing one of the GPS  gurus will be able able to tell you why ( as long as you are reading 2 sec and not max speed off your watch that is - max speed is a super dodgy measurement)

emailing you the settings for my gw60 Neil, my results are normally very close. Only different on the old Gt31.
