Melville Beach, WA

20-30 knots and a little choppy. Gusty - couldn't quite complete a NM without running into a lull Frown

Destroyed the panel under the boom at the end of the last run but managed to sail back ok. 5+ year old sail so not unexpected.

Good fun flying over the chop!

Can't wait for the Windtech 57cm 90L - would've been in it's element today LaughingTongue out

Short and sweet decided to call it a day before it ended in tears.

Over powerd with the 6.2, the wave board was probably a good choice.

Nice to catch up with some friendly folks.

Melville Beach, WA, AU  Started off ok but got a bit brutal at times. I didn't quite have the nerve to push it 10 tenths today, the bullets were scary...as was the chop. WindTech 64 , Ka 6.3 Race and a proto 30 fin. Cant wait for the 57 cm board...Smile

foilville

was determined to get a better foil in this weekend than my skunked sesh on friday night, so packed a few extra brave pills in the car and headed down to the river

sure enough when I got there it was nuking and even with the brave pills I was questioning my sanity, but rigged up anyway as it at least wasn't raining

wind eased a tiny bit as I was hitting the water so I felt confident enough to have a go and glad I did because I reeally surprised myself that it was possible to get around for the most part in some really wild conditions

however I wasn't completely stupid and realised very quickly that sailing around in the middle was going to tire me out very quickly and probably result in a few crashes so I headed to matilda bay for some flat water and slightly tamer conditions, however it was unbelievably gusty in the bay speeds were very peaky and it was hard not to get catapulted on every run, lucky the cougar was showing her stuff and absolutely performed amazing and I had no major crashes all day so I could make it home in one piece

happy to get another PB peak but the watch had my hopes up with a display over 29 knots so a little bummed with that but hey still managed to make the most of a rubbish day

and who said foiling was for light wind Tongue out

looking forward to pushing things on a nice day in summer and hopefully pushing closer to the magic 30

Big turnout in the chookpond.

Tried hard to get some speed in the flatter water next to the bank but the gusts just didnt seem to happen there.

Figured it was worth a try in the open and it paid off.

Pretty gusty with some beasty gusts coming through.

In the chook pond with a great crew out. Definately a day for the heavy weights as some of the gust were downright butt clenching. On the speedboard today but needs more tuning to get more stable. Need to eat more donuts. Thanks for the loan fin Chris.

Congratulations Tim and Lunny on speeds in your top 3! Well earned jelly beans and a big boost to our 2 sec.

What might have been if the wind had more west in it.

I was very tempted to join you (the wind was calling my name) but I was on call and still a bit sore from Friday.

Interesting alpha speed, Tim.
