after traversing what seemed like the full length of the local swamp looking for flat water
ended up having a quick blast from in front of the caravan park with the busso boys.
the mandurah visitors departed in search of some flatter water back home.
used a iso 86 slim and a 25 vector ws and a 6.2 severne od.
wind was cranking but water too messy for any good speeds.

quick session, did not want to break anything.. almost a month since my last session, time flys!!
Just went with what I could see around, 5,4 was the sail for me.. the board was going with the 47, but I changed to Herby after seeying the condition, did not want to struggle .
PB for the board, very happy, it was the purpose of it, doing 40 on a slalom without having to work too hard . Hooked a nice gust and let Herby doing the driving. I also tested for the 1 time an Pepe proto he want me to test, I wasnt expecting much of it first, but when on the water even it was only a 20, it never let go and felt good in the 40 run. Great job Pauly you done it again. Look like Fangy has a challenger
Great to catch with a good crew too many to name, also very surprised to see Spottie there, he was trying backloop on the speedboard lol
Many people with 40s and plus, good day for it
Happy days
Herby, RSR5.4, Pepe Delta20

Wild session way too over-powered on 5.9m sail. Got my best speed in a more moderate gust 40.043kts GPS Display, 39.907kts 2 sec Doppler, or my fave 42.342kts 2 sec Track Point.
Was blowing 35+kts out there, the sail was getting ripped out of my hands, and I was getting slammed into the water. 2 major stacks! Decided this old man had taken enuff risks for the day
Wouldnt it be sensational to get these conditions on a regular basis, so one could get good at it

Big day on the water with lots of sailors turning up for a winters day in summer.
Big thanks to Doddi for the lift and Roger for the lend of a boom when mine had an issue.
Thinking back on the day I should of used my winter fin (23@50) rather than my summer Kestral 18 but happy with the day on the water.

2141 days ago Glory Holes, Australind, WA, AU. SP47/GPS6.0/VectorWS23. Plenty of wind but no flat water. Scariest 40 Ive ever done, thought I was going too die but the CA and Vector fin combo held on nicely. Happy to get a Glory Holes 2s Pb

Nice after work session at fangys with an interstate and international crew out with the regulars. Unfortunately the green keeper has been neglecting his duties and the place is full of bergs. Or did Lunny put a dose of Bozium in the water before he left. Thomas Frenner had his first sail at fangys today and scored a 2s pb over 39 kn to add to his success in Cerventes and Lano this year. Mike was flying around with the 17 Swoody plugged in and seemed happy with it. Great to see the Snail back on the water. Great speed Sammy and Jonski was breaking stuff. I got my second best 2s and an alpha jb so Defo a top 10 fangy day even without him.

2141 days ago 1 categories What an amazing day, fangys via Glory Holes, spent most of the day driving!
For some reason all the weedburgs at Fangys were considered too dangerous for speed sailing, so we headed to Glory holes to be confronted by mega chop and rain squalls. Went exploring up the northern end, and found much flater water, but too shallow, and a somewhat unknown quantity.
Joe's, 40 GT31 pic called us back to Fangys, where we found much flatter water, and heaps of sailors, including a few new faces.
I really wanted to test run the new 4.7 koncept, I'd normally have rigged the 5.0 or if feeling particularly brave the 5.4. But figured there was a reasonable chance of getting a strong enough gust to get it going. This proved to be correct, I was underpowered most of the time, but a couple of gusts were fantastic.
