Quick sesh with a mate and his son who are learning to windsurf.

Looked like it was filling in much better around 430 but had to leave for work.

Hope it was good for you out ther Ben

Little arvo squirt at Peli. Got there early as always. Put the big gear up for the first time in a while, felt heavy and very outboard. Wind was quite mild at the start and a bit patchy, but by the end there were some nice gusts coming through. Had a very quick yarn to Chris who was heading out after I had finished, such a nice fella! All in all nice little sesh.

Travelled down expecting a big blow as forcast but was welcomed to a gentle 12-15 knot breeze. Seeing Boz planing on his small gear was enough to rig and the 7.1 and use the Manta 106 with a wp 25. A few more knots came in and that was enough to join the Mobsters, Mike and Simon who seemed on a mission. Kudos to them both who came in after me.

Coodanup, WA, AU iS111, 24FF, 6.3K 14 - 16 kn initially, built to 17 - 20

more gybe practice. I did many I was very happy with, my minimum speeds were better, confidence increasing, so I was disappointed to find the alpha was less than 17 kn. I did do one at 18.7 but it was too wide. My entry speeds were mostly 20, 21 kn so can't expect too much. The ones where I went in a bit faster were too wide.

I thought a bit more wind would do it but obviously I am going to need to take a faster board to get more speed going into the gybe.

Thanks Peter for your advice, it really helped improve the smoothness of the transitions

Coodanup, WA, AU Another fantastic day down South, I had a delivery to make and had a great sail with a great bunch of people .It really doesn't get much better. Warm, beautiful , wind and flat water.

Can't wait to get that place over 20 knots.

Light to start, hard work getting out, then wind picked up a bit

105 Rocket, 6.5 Simmer 2xc, 18 delta.

Many thanks Rob for the loan of the newer style delta. It seemed to point better thn my older style delta, and when it spun out I could get it back reasonably easily.

Good to see plenty of Pinnas - Anita, Neil, Boz, Mark and Rob - and several Pinnas PBs

Wind looked like it was filling in when I rigged, it wasn't. Could have done with a bigger sail for 85% of today but still had some fun none the less.

Great work, Woody! Congratulations on some very nice PBs. Looks like you scored hour of the day (by a smidgeon, and alpha of the day by a good margin). 3PBs - can't ask for a bigger effort than that. You are a star.

Congratulations Gustenzo! Well done!

Neil, it looks like you scored Coodanup nm of the day - great result for someone who doesn't know how long a nm is.

Wow, more PBs. Congrats to Vince, Rob and Neil as well. Another good all round session at Melville Ben. Looking at the numbers here, you’d think there was wind yesterday. I’m going early and calling Mark and Ben for most improved for 2019 and Neil for least likely to get a speeding fine😂😂😂
