sboardcrazy (25098km): 5-17kts NW then 8-12kts WSW Coal Point, NSW, AU 7.5m Gt Turbo - Rs4 ( 111ltres) - 39cm C3 sting pointer First time I've sailed coal in a NW. It started out a patchy 5kts with 15-17kts gusts and a 1 ft lumpy cross chop. Mm now I remember why I don't sail Belmont bay and that area in a westerly.. Hard work and I couldn't enjoy the gusts due to the chop. Had a nice smoother run to Wangi when it was consistent enough to get in the straps and lay back and enjoy things. I then worked up towards Rathmines. The wind was patchier but it was flatter so the gusts were fun. Wind changed to WSW and was fun for 10mins , less but more consistent and the water was flatter then it died. Just me , Andrew came out on the foil as it died and Greg later. A lovely sunny , 20 degrees mild day and it was nice to catch up and have a chat. | ||||||||||||||||||
