Gusty westerly 10-33 knots. Shared one over 30 knot whiteout with Slowy - stinging rain created awesome big smooth windswells.
Good turn out of crew, Peter was cruising the 30 knots gusts and gybing effortlessly on his Naish windwing.

Arrived to see Boz and Lunny in the distance waiting for the big blow to arrive. Company soon arrived with Flatchat, Stroppo, Jonski, Kenny and young Mike. The chatting brought on only a moderate wind so decided on the 6.4 not the 5.6 which I had hoped would be needed. The sail size was right but didnt quite get the setup right with the JP 50 and Delta 18. Fantastic to see Lunny christening his hand crafted speedboard. Looked good out there mate. A short session today so hope to see some big numbers registered later.

Got to try the speedboard ive been making over the past few months, she goes quite nicely although a tad mor breeze or sail would have been ideal.
Boz and i arrived early and talked, walked and waited forever for the front to arrive.
Shame i had to leave just as the action started but still happy to have tried the new toy.
Great to catch up with the crew

Waiting and waiting and waiting and then I went home. Abit of an anticlimax in the end but great group of speed nuts out trying their luck. Picking a gust was almost like picking a powerball. Good to see one div 1 winner. My gust was probably a div 3.

First session at the chook pond with the pinnas and the locals. Wind seemed very northerly around midday so we watched Lunny and Boz spend a fair bit of time sitting and waiting. Wind started to swing more NW when we headed out. A strong squall came through when i got to the pond but eased off soon after. Tide was high enough and rising so I changed from the delta which felt sluggish, to the vector weedy. The wind direction swung more West which was ideal for the run but the gusts were not more than high 20s.
Congrats Boz on cracking the 40 after some time since the last 40. Thanks Stroppo for setting up the speed run with the wind sock. great idea. Good to chat with the Mandurah mob.
5m overdrive, 54 Jp slalom, 16 delta then 23 vector weedy.

Early start with Lunny at Coods, we thought it would kick in by 10 but misstimed it by a couple of hours, good to see a big turn out of speed freaks all hoping for an epic day. One lucky gust peak at 41.2 the rest of the 2 sec all 37's. Great to see Kenny have his first sail in the pond, and thanks for the mars bar strop. Good to see the Mob turn out in force even Hardie ventured aweay from the heat to the slightly chilly waters.
