There are days like yesterday where the gear selection is nigh on perfect, then there are days like today where you explore the other end of the spectrum.

Assuming the wind to fade after 5 like it had for the past week was the error, it didn't, it kicked.

Most frustrating thing was not the arm stretching but the fin bogging up with weed trying to get going which made the sail doubley heavy.

The only high light is that it was a good test of the shoulder.

Carlisle st Safety bay.   CA 92, Enduro 5.4, TWS 27

Full on session with Tom in the chop. I was hoping for a bit more wind today to try for a better hour than yesterday but there was just a bit to much and the chop to big to keep things moving for a whole hour. Tried a few speed runs down the penguin Islnd weed bank which felt way faster than they were especially when the fin let go on two occasions but managed to keep it upright untill I had scrubbed off alot of speed.

Great practice for the upcoming Cerventes event after the new year, and I need it.

Liptons, fun sail, At last some decent wind. Mistral Speed 95/55, TR16 6.3m PepeFoil 22.5.  Stood their reflecting how much I love this sport, how good I felt doing it, wondering how much longer I'fd be capable of doing it, and feeling blessed.  Lessons learnt if you want to be a good speedsailor, you need to be fit, the best winds and water were at Point Grey 2kts faster than Liptons, and spent 4 times as long at Liptons, but my arms and legs were full of Lactic Acid, and I was finished.  The only way to get fit for this sport is to do it.  My daily swimming while injured did not prepare me for a full-on wind day.
