Shane121 (6794km): Albany, WA, AU Harding rd. Awesome day on the water with a great crew out having a truck load of fun. JP SPEED SLALOM 55, HSM GPS 6.0, DELTA SPEED 19.
Stretch (31360km): Koombana Bay, WA, AU. SB Formula187/GPX7/SB Supercruiser. Light wind foiling and a very different pace to Thursday, but very enjoyable. I changed some settings and things felt much more balance today. Out with Noel, Rat and young John
Morts (16110km):
KA Koncept 5.4, Manta 54W + Tribal Delta 18 + 16
Well that was a lot of fun. Thought it might be just Shane & I today but Woody, Boz & Elmo arived in quick succession plus word came that Steve was on his way over from Margs. Today was just about speed runs down the NM strip, maybe needed a bit more sail area at times but t's a fair gap up from a 5.4 to a 6.3 for a puny human like me.
Shane was smoking it today & gave me a few tips towards the end that seemed to work, thanks mate. Big grins all round & some bloody quick NM done today.
Could do with more days like today

Elmo (31521km): JP Speed 54cm & Tribal delta weed 18cm, NP RSRE E6 6.4m NP RSR E7 7.0m Left home a 0550 got home at 2135 to sail 40km and in all honesty I'd drive further for another sail like today. Got to Lilacs at 1050 to see the bay covered in streaky goodness, measured the wind which was blowing nice and comsistently at an ave of 19 gusting to 24 knots, the only down sides was that there was a lot of shoreline (very low tide) and the bit of North contaminating the wind direction. Just as well I got the new Tribal Delta this prooved to be the perfect test. Riged the 6.4 which in all honesty wasn't to bad. First run got a 38, a nice way to start the day. A couple of squirts later I decided to try the naughty which we were a bit suspect about how we would shallow things would be at the end, so of I went and pulled up a good 50m short of the sandy bit I was quite surprised to see a naughty of 36.4kn, The Naughty run is on! all other priorities go out the window. A couple more runs found that there were some small lulls mid way down the run (still pulling 36's) so a quick run to shore and rigged the 7.0m hoping to nail a 38. The larger sail was a bit more work getting up wind but WOW did it make a difference going down windpowered with the lighter bits and gettting stood a bit more upright with the bullets. Unfortunately as it weas the first use of the fin didn't quite have the settings right until the last run, but theres some potential there. I didn't quirte get to the 38 but well happy to get 36.418 36.463 36.921 37.036 37.651 All of which would have been PB's Bring on the next time when I can start deeper and finish further down the run. Absolutely fantastic sailing with Boz (the 2 second wizard) Mark, Jeremy, Shane and Steve What a day
The tribal deltarocks!
For the Albany guys, I found two razor clams (they are now ex clams) in the weed bed on the sand bar just behind where I was taking off, so you may want to keep an eye out.

evets (21500km): Lilacs first W52 Tr17 6.3 Pepefoils delta 19.5 Then 54SP RTR17 6.3 FF20 Plan changed and I decided to make the 330km drive from Margaret River to my local . I was convinced until I arrived that the wind was going to be less than forecast and that there would not be enough water. More of each would have been better but it was ok! I arrved at Lilacs and greeeted the usuals, the team who sail at Lilacs so often, who travel from 3 km to 500kms away. It is quite an attractive location. I rigged my trusty 6.3 and pluged it into my JP54 with my shiny new Pepefoils delta 19.5 It is a work of art and I wanted to try it with my oft used board/sail combo as a trial. Tipping the board onto its side exposed the under side of teh nose, complete with a 200mm crack. Bugger, this would have happened when I ran aground at Liptons on Thursday. I sailed for an hour after that but there wa no sign of water in the board. Hmmmm, plan B involved going home and grabbing my venerable W52 ( my trailer tow car was in Margs with my family). Back to Lilacs and swap to the W52, finally launced some time after 2, great numbers having already been achieved by Boz, Mark, Shane and Alby. The Pepefoil 19.5 was excellent across the wind and flew upwind in chop. Spinout very rare and easily recovered. I tried a few NMs with that setup but was disapppointed to be stuck in 34/35s. I went in and with Alby's assistance ( thanks Alby) applied some of his waterproof tape to the 54SP and wtih the FF20 for comaprrison I trrised again. By then the wind was dying, i was able to make every gybe at the north and south ends of the run where previously it was more windy than I was willing to try at the south end. Now 32s and after a couple of runs the wind died altogether. I called it a day. the Pepefoil 19.5 is intended for larger boards so Saturday was not a good test but U really wanted to try it. What I did experience makes me really interested to try it more in conditions moresuited to it's design. So it was a beautiful day on the harbour, water quite low but a decent wind early on. I hope I missed the best of it rather than I am incompetent! Huge congratulations to Shane, Jeremy, and lby of the mob and Mark and Boz of the Pinnas. Great numbers from very good sailors. When lilaces turns it on it can be a great location
