Liptons, Mistral 95, SV M2 6.2, Tribal delta 20cm

Excellent session with some Pinnas, some mobsters and Stroppo blasting round at a million miles an hour.

Wind booted in to 25+, although with a bit of westerly in it so Liptons corner looked a bit gusty. As a result we all headed to Pt Grey, although that ended up being shallower than expected, possibly all the water got blown down to the Coodanup end of the inlet.

Best result was 38.35 max, shame it ended up less than 38 on the 2s, but happy with the PB.

I beared away into Liptons corner and Stroppo was waiting at the end of the run; so I tried to look like I knew what I was doing.

Windtech 57, Fangyfin 22, Overdrive M2.

Pelican Point, WA, AU

Got to Peli around 4 and it looked pretty fresh.  Went with the WT64 + 7.6 TR9 + 33 Tribal WS.

Pretty lit on the 7.6, but I didn't pack the 7 cos the forecast didn't suggest I'd need it!

I had a great sesh.  Went for an hour, and managed a PB hour for the Swan. Smile

I was hoping for a better alpha, but the point was pretty chopped up with the wind and high tide, so not to be.

I'm loving the Windtech for this type of sailing, she's just so comfortable in the rough.  Cool

Peel Inlet, WA, AU

A short session with the lipton locals, Pacey and Rob.  Firstly used a 26wp which I thought was a 24 but realised when changing to the delta later.

the 26 wp dragged on the first run and almost lost it at Pt Grey so changed to the Delta 18. Tried the newly acquired mistral 57 which was an unexpected purchase and use the 6.4 Vapor. Cheers Tim for the heads up and Dan for the board. Felt like there's heaps left in it once I get the rigging sorted. Thanks Stroppo for the rigging advice to try for next time.

Nice going Rob & Andrew. Glad you're getting some good speeds out of the 57 Rob. Woody, good effort on the Mistral - glad it's gone to a good home. Catch you down at liptons sometime soon.
