Stanley, TAS, AU, A wet, wild and windy morning at East inlet. Arrived a bit after 7 as the tide was suposed to be out

enough to sail by 7.30. Got on the water before 8 but the tide would't go out. The wind was Easterly and gusting over

40 knots at times. No sign of any bank until nearly 9. The wind was just keeping the water in the inlet. First few runs were only

low 30s because it was so rough, as the bank appeared the speeds picked up. The main problem was the driving rain with vis

down to 100m for a lot of the time. Anyway good to sail my smallest gear, i should use the M41 more often when its over 30 knots.

M41, R6 5.6, Tribal assy 19.5

Marion Bay, TAS, AU

5.0 OD R3   80IS  Vector 25 Weedy

Torential rain (poor little eyeballs) Wind was really strong to start with and the water was really choppy then the wind dropped off a bit and the water smoothed out, really needed a bigger sail on in the end.

Marion Bay, TAS, AU. New JP 62, Maui Sails TR9 5.5 and 25 TWS.

Great sail with Kaleb, Kazz and Tim arrived later. Nice to see Kaleb back into action on the fast stuff and his year off hasnt slowed him down lCool

Was super windy when we go there and did my fastest speed pretty quickly. Thought for sure this could have been a 40 knot day with one of the best forecasts ever. Wind dropped off quite a bit not long after we got out. Was pissing down with rain.

Dorans, 107, 7.0, 38. Good sail, rain didn't hit until I had to unrig. Pretty choppy. 7 was hard to hold down towards the end of the session but got a few good gybes behind the jetty in the flatter water.

Nothing like a low pressure system to change it up a bit. Windy and nearly 40mm of rain this morning.

By 2.30 this afternoon hardly a cloud in the sky, a big surf and no wind.

Might get a westerly tomorrow.
