Sailed Novara, to get some lumpy goodness, unfortunately the breeze was frontal, very holey and way to strong when it blew.

Stropp, Pacey and Mike were out showing the versatility of the wind wings, whilst I was waiting out the squall keeping the duck company they were out the on the foils going alone happy as Larry.

Yes the duck, was hanging around whilst we were rigging, looked like a lost pet. When the wingers went out there was no wind so they were waiting around to the duck flys out and perches itself on Stropp's foil keeping them company.

When they got going it would follow them across the bay.

When the squall hit the duck thought it would rough it with the olde skool sailer, saw it out of the corner of my eye flapping like crazzy into the wind and land on my sail in the water and there it stayed for the next 10 mins.

They things you see.

Glory Holes, Australind, WA, AU CA75 CA62 tws31 fangy 21S koncept 6.2 . Medium to high water so not real smooth. The wind was changeable in speed, direction and intensity. In other words it was all over the place like a trump speech. Mike and I arrived early and I rigged a 7.1 kar then de rigged and rigged a 6.2 and kept that all day and just changed boards. First sail on my new second hand 75 board and and second go on the 62. They both have the same CA goodness as the 66 so I’m a happy chappie. Lots of sailors both young and old and everything in between arrived throughout the day and great to catch up.. Considering the sailing conditions a top day😎

Great to see a big crowd out although I think I missed a few. Lots of happy faces, some new and some familiar.

Hung around till a little later hoping for steadier wind to attempt an hour.  Was lucky for a squally gusty front to get an hour of planing and with low fitness there wasn't going to be a second attempt.  Happy with the result in the end.

Thanks to CrimsonFlash for the go on the WT Cruise Missile, nice board and nice to try something so different.

Good to catch up and meet some new people.

Back to Winter at Glory Holes.

Joined Waricle, then the other slowly trickled in, ended up with quite a crew, including a couple of Pinnas and some Busso guys.

Good to catch up with Swindy again, he'll probably comment on how much harder slapping is for the muscles.

Well I say back to winter, but it was sunny when I arrived, and stayed that way for the first session. Wind was direct onshore and light,  Waricle was rigging big, but I'd had a surfeit of the 55 and 6.2, so as the forecast looked good for later, I rigged the 5.7 on the 48 with 20cm 40/60 deg semi weedy. Wind had picked up enough before I'd finished rigging. Still underdone but stayed on the plane most of the time, with a few reasonable gusts. That lasted about 3/4 of an hour, then wind decreased, so I went in for lunch. Wind continued to drop, but there was rain approaching and with it much better wind, so went out for 2nd session. Unfortunately a clumsy dismount with right foot still in strap, agravated my crook hip, plus I started to freeze and wind agian started to drop, so I called it and left the others to it.

Glory Holes, Australind, WA, AU. FF89/SCR7//TWS29.  Wind was a bit fickle today, didn't quite get the conditions we were hoping for, but an enjoyable sail nonetheless. The highlight of the day to me was the roll up - a heap of people turned up, it was good to catch up with everyone. Great to see a few young guys getting into the sport too 😎

Board and sail to small most of the time but got a few good squirts.

Good to catch up with a large chunk of people.

Yep that was hard work.  Will have to get on the fin more often to improve strength and fitness.

Can't post yet as wife is hogging the laptop for work.

Great session with a bunch of mobsters down at Australind. First time down there and probably not the last. Even though the wind was shifting around a bit, was a good intro and can see the potential when it's a cranking westerly and tide is a bit lower. Good to see another Pinna down there too (woody). Oaf, good to meet you mate and glad you enjoyed the ride on the missile!
