Difficult day on water but good to be out in these conditions.  The more I do it the easy it will come and the figures will follow

Few big offs, corked thigh broken battern

Even the big hitters were having some serious offs so good to be in the common bunch

Mmm interesting day, more out of control than in control. Five days in a row taking it's toll on the old body with a acouple of good stacks on the water and a great stack at the very end. Who said it was shallow?

Another great day on the soup - 6 days straight - cannot recall INVY blowing one direction for this long and could even be another day to follow today . Fantastic efforts to all those that sailed 45 today and elsewhere. This has to be one of most testing sports on the earth hence the feeling one can absorb from such a day - it’s a real privilege people to participate in this. I haven’t been up with it since leaving LG - so awesome effort on that Nm Andy qik as off sh@$ a stick ! Barbie slaying the PBs keep this up and Beachport pub will have to put on an extra special Menu for you guys And Spotty amazing effort on the Centurion- Outstanding! Next Parma is on you ! Good too see a heap of familiar faces during Month amd some new ones - Just been in a little one of life’s troughs with a few shit sandwiches to swallow So sheet in and plough through the rough stuff and ya come out with a little polish and shine 😎 Happy Days to all !

Great job on all the PBs guys. Challenging conditions out there. Great speeds Kempsta - you've clearly got this place wired. Terrific to see so many turn up for the fun on such a windy day.

Certainly was a tough day well done to everybody who sailed yesterday and Saturday.

Well done to all the new comers that were having a crack! it was hard. Keep trying it is worth it!  A few people also traveled distance to sail and most likely had a tough drive home.

Quite a bit a damage sustained yesterday.

We had an average wind speed of 24knt with gusts above 35knt between 2.00-3.30 it was pretty hectic

Broken booms, broken sails, broken boards, a few egosEmbarassed

Looks like a few injuries as well Gaz and Jase also a few others that i cannot name, rest up boys also a few bad knocks on the head.

Looks like everybody will mend, all the gear will be replaced or repaired and the memories etched in minds for years to come!!!

Great to catch up with so many sailers on the water.

Great weekend at A45 with big turn out of about 20 winsurfers both days, many from Melbourne incl freestyle crew. Got home OK 11pm Sun night after 5hr drive back home, including a detour to go around crash near Lang Lang with helicopter retrival.

Survived two big wind days with no injuries or gear damage, although I did manage to hit the submerged sandbar twice but only at moderate speeds, hope everyone is OK. Great to see Jase and Gaz and Kempsta smashing out some PBs. Thanks for the beers on Sat and John for somewhere to park the van overnight.

Youtube video of speed run:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eB5zMOZN1SQ

As described by Pete Johnston:  Pretty interesting run to get into - a dash across some chop then a sharp right turn (or slam into the bank!) down a very broad run with bank on one side and chop on the other with a small strip of flatish water in between. Then a hulking great buoy at the end of the short run - do I go inside it? (and hit the bank?) or do I go wide? Meanwhile getting buffeted and pulled around by crazy gusts and hoping I don't catapault into the damn thing! Not really used to a port tack speed run. Kempsta noted quite aptly - this run makes Sandy Point look like a speed run for dummies. I was pretty powered up with a 5m sail.
