Warm day with a fun sail on the estuary in tricky gusty conditions. Looked light when I arrvied so rigged biggest I had with me, lots of holes the first half hour then came up nicely. Was pretty overpowered at times but managed to keep locked down and sotked to get some good speeds. Think might be last change to sail in board shorts this season.

Unfortunatly my watch died so didn't get the whole session.

Christchurch Estuary, West/SW.  Falcon 90L, Severne 6.2.

Gusty and holey.  Had trouble keeping on the plane at the start, by the end I was hanging on as there was some ferocious gusts. Was way over powered.   My arms and legs felt like jelly by the end of the session, even though I didn't do that many ks.  Hardest workout I have had for a while.  Character building I suppose.

Christchurch Estuary, Interesting day as i didnt think it was going to get windy..It was on and off at the start then it was just on. Was getting out when i noticed the wind swung and increased..out i went again but the 6.3 was a handfull but controlable. Over 300km in the last week so the body was screaming..but who can say no to 30knot gusts.with some wild swings. So much better than yesterday now knowing what the 6.3 can handle...just should of pushed harder..doesnt look like ill get to much rest this week as the predictions suggest more sailing..maybe fin..definitly foil...Magnesium pills here i come. Dan M was flying. FF 79, LRB 6.3, C3 28

Christchurch Estuary, NZ ..Started out on my 90 litre Falcon with 34 cms of fin and my 5.8 - Little more than a minute after jumping on it I saw Dan M come off the wind to my left and cross ahead of me on a truly spectacular looking reach along the northern edge of the estuary. I turned in behind and sailed the last 150 metres or so of Dan's track, ..my "2 Second Peak" occurred immediately after I turned in and at a point as indicated on KA72's map that Dan recorded 35 knots over 100 metres. ..It was the only thing that worked for me all afternoon - Tried to sail three boards and was never on the right one at the right time.
