GPS Team Challenge - Swan River Mob (WA, Australia)

Some crazy squalls today! Rain and hail. Pretty cold so packed it in a bit early. A fair bit of standing around waiting for wind, but when it came... it came... Pretty sure it was gusting well over 40kts at times. Angle was really good at the start, but only got one good squall before the wind swung to be more square. Was surprised at the speed! I recon thats a PB for me for that size board. Got 3 more runs peaking over 45 but they were super short slingshots and scary as hell at the end. Was good to share some crazy wind with Mark,Ant,Jim and Dan... good times!

Thanks guys. Its a short and peaky run, but its intense! Today was either full-on squalls or moderate cruising and nothing much in between. I was lucky enough to be able to get onto the run a few times while it was blowing, and hang on for the squirt. Can't believe that was my 3rd fastest 2sec. Never thought biggish board would deliver at that speed. Bog stock 23 weedspeed- she's a keeper! The sail is a beautiful thing. Plenty of power and control. All up a sweet, safe combo for crazy conditions.
