Flex (17936km):
1073 days ago Melville Beach, WA, AU. Quick blast in the sun with Cannonball, Boz, Richo, Windxtasy, Reg, Slowy, Jay and even Antman graced us with his presence. Probably others as seemed crowded. First time seeing a 35 on the real time dial! iSonic 97, 6.5 Severne Turbo M4, FF22

1073 days ago Melville Beach, 5 zeta, 76 foil. should have left the little wing on the foil and rigged smaller. But still a nice afternoon on the water . Great to say hi to Anita and Richo. Missed the rest of you as I think everyone was on the water.

Slightly more gusty than yesterday, tried a NM was powered up nicely until 2 big holes slowed the run to a crawl then the washing machine chop didn’t help. Always another day to try. Great to see a big crowd out enjoying the sun even our intrepid captain graced us with her presence👍

1073 days ago Melville Beach, WA, AU 85 Sonic, 26 Elmo weedy, 5 m Koncept.
The best part of today was the company. There were a whole lot of current (Cannonball, Boz, Richo, Flex, Reg, Jeff, AC1, Antman) and ex Pinnaroos (Geoff and Danijel) in attendance, including a few blow ins who usually sail at Pinnaroo Point or Safety Bay, and a great bunch of Melville locals too. The breeze was strong in gusts, but outside the gusts were big lulls. At times I was powered nicely on my 5m sail, but most of the time I was underdone. Never felt sufficiently powered up in the right places for a speed run, and mostly struggled in the on off wind, so I decided not to tire myself out too much (with work tomorrow) and quit early. I have become so used to sailing with the big gear that I feel I have forgotten how to sail /tune the small stuff for optimal performance. Needed a bigger fin today as I was losing ground downwind.
The Melville company was great but otherwise the gusty shifty wind made me wish I had gone to Mandurah.

Nice to see the Pinnas out in force. Some nice gusts today so had some fun. Nice to see Ant at Melville carving some sweet gybes. Boz sending it in his groove, no dout hell be as fast as slowy and Jay if not faster very soon.

1073 days ago Melville,
Another glorious sea breeze at the regular. Great to see the usual suspects and a lot of Pinnas including some we haven't seen for a while. Shame a bout Richo's sail. Another sailor was unluky enough to break their fin after hitting something crossing the sandbar. Ouch! I managed to break the tip luff end off a battern on the freebie Koncept so the sail developed a few more wrinkles.
Trying for a 24 plus alpha but could only manage 4 x 23 knott alphas. Switched boards and headed to Wally world but by then it was all over.

Reg (3745km):
1072 days ago It was great watching the Pinaroos from the shoreline as Ant murdered a few Alphas and Slowboat (an honorary Pinna) continually buzzed the less speedy and Flex did the impossible getting a 2 sec PB at Melville (of all places). Anita is slowly getting her Mojo back and Richo continues to wreck his very expensive new gear. Boz was going well as usual for a relative oldie (young compared to Ricey and me and....). A great day all in all for a large group of Speedies and a few Wingbats. 10km was my limit with the fast boys today...roll on Spinal Fusion.
