Unknown Location Bogan (11341km): Stansbury, SA, AU. Dave called me yesterday and said come to Stansbury. It will be good he said. I wasn't really convinced, as I only come here when Adelaide is too off shore to sail. The last puff of the week forcasted, so what the hell. Runs were very angled and into the bay. Oh well. Good fun. I wanted to do 100km, but my right wrist blew out in the end. I injured it doing a +30kt wave sailing session at North Haven last Monday, and I've sailed 4 x +25kt days in a row now. Probably need to rest the old bod. Very happy with gear. Patrick 92 Slalom ][, 5.5 Kasail Race, 18 MUF delta. ~10-25kt SSE. Sailed with Dave and Simon. Some video to come shortly
Peter Daish (26108km): Lake George, SA, AU, 25 to 30 knots SSE, cold wet, mistral 55cm/95L 6.3 gun, 27 seed speed the mistral 47 with 6.3 and 23 weed speed. what a day, recovering from carpal release surgery 2 weeks ago so limited myself to 200kms today. Easy morning getting Stash rigged for 300km effort. Stash was distance sailing and I went out at 12pm. Tried a few alphas and then went for it for the hour, was having a blast with speed talk saying 30/31 knots most of the time but squal came through and it got survival mode and couldnt hold board down plus port harness line semi broke in last 20 mins so just crisis management in the end. there is more in me, for the hour, finshed at the spit and it was super smooth but needed delta fin as weed was rising, pulled a 40 then headed back up top, 125km mark changed to mistral 47, and bloody hard work !!! weed keeps gettingn stuck on fin and the lake was losing water like a bath without a plug and keep getting stuck then walking. anyway pulled bit more speed but nothing specy, but not enough wind, needed the squal again. Great work Staash for getting the 300km in those conditions, he was absolutely overpowered on his 95 patrick and 6.1 all day and still pulled 40!! crazy
NeedSpeedStash (7491km): Lake George, SA, AU Far from ideal, crazy day to do 300km! Fully lit from early afternoon! Not gonna do that again anytime soon! Point7 6.2, 95l Patrik, 27 Tribal weedspeed! Never ceases to amaze me how much wind those sails can handle when tuned properly - still learning!! Was really surprised to hit 40kts on the 95/62 Patrik. Always wondered how far it can go. Definitely moving away from the idea of always going for my smallest board unless it's really blowing! Thanks to Pete for support/kick up the a.. !!!

Choco (14568km): Made up my mind to try out the AV45 Speed board which has been sitting in the shed for the past year, first 2 hours involved changing fins and strap positions once all sorted the next 2 hours was waiting to catch a strong gust, water up at the 5 mile was rough as guts and the only smooth stuff was close in shore where there was patchy wind at best.Couldn't run the usual line from last couple of years because of the rolling chop and weired wind angle which kept shifting all the time, board felt great sailing cross the wind and went with the Atomic 20cm speed weed fin never let go in the chop board felt free and just wanted to go.Spent alot of time in the middle of the lake while there my weight jacket was taking in water lol so all up I would have had around 110kg no wonder it got harder to get going even though the wind was stronger, sail felt like a 5.5m, great to finally change things up and now with confidence I'll be able to jump on the board and go.
