el Bog, sou-sw'er where the promise never came, so gusting to 14kts, maybe a bit more

7.8/isonic97/started with Rockit 38, but too soft for the big sail, kept losing ground. So, Volt 40 instead and railing became possible again.

me and batman made the most of it, his 120 litre serving him much better a lot of the time. never really found the dial today, but better than my desk!

Lake George, SA, AU, 25 / 30 se , FMX RACING SPEED BOARD, 6.3 GUN GS-R, 23 weed speed, then 20 delta sym,

Testing my brand new board today from FMX Speed 74L/52cm wide. tuning it up today but not sure what fin? where the straps should go, mast track, harness lines etc .  In the end I was happy with the speed for a first time ride, Nice to be able to gybe a speed board and also not sink it during sub planning times which that didnt happen much as the wind was crazy , should have had the 5.7 on.

started at the top with Chris and Tricky but not much flat to be had although pulleda 41.6 in a gust.  so headed down to the spit where the crowds were. Still not that flat and weed was sticking to fin, lots of drag but found some speed behind the islands.

Stupid me went to close to the island and distroyed my fin ouch, but luckily carry a spare, 20 delta sym but didnt seem to get the same speed,  felt more draggy.

Productiive, 2 days thanks to Tricky for the solo drive and Chris also who did a solo day trip.!!

Lake George, SA, AU

First post to the Bogans!!

Day trip to Lake George. Started at the 5 mile on 6.2M2 / iS87 / 18 Tribal Delta, but no flat water at all and bear aways were risky in the chop, so a rapid de-rig and drive out to the spit in the wetsuit. Rigged the old 5.6R7 on iS87 / 18 Tribal Delta and hit the water. First bear away 41.5 and many more runs to follow, nearly all of them above 39knots.

Some nice flat water sections - head upwind then slingshot around the floating dead kangaroo and head for the bushfire in the distance - classic Australian speedsailing right there!

Thanks for taking me on Bogans. I may not post very often, but when I do I hope it counts.

Great to catch up with Tricky, Jimbob, Danny, Daffy and Andy. Well done Pete for some good numbers on the big sail.

Now to watch the forecast and plan the next trip...

Work out WednesdaySmile Rigged the Loft 5.6 gaffer tpe edition Isonic 87 TechtonicSpeedDeamon 21 was just no flat from the five mile so did the dash to the Spit with Chris. Same combo to scout out the area, The dead Kanga seemed the marcker of note. Some nice smooth spots with plent of ruff N ready all around. Then changed to the Loch speed board & the 16 Tribal Speed Delta & rigged the Hot 5.2 that combo I picked up a good knt but had a few crashes hitting the ruff with the little fin was going to change to the 19 Techtonics but had the wrong fin in the back pack so took a few easy run ups  then called it day day. Realy challanging contitions, timing was every thing on the small area of smooth. Great to catch up with the CrewCool I think my alpha was what Pete wanted yesterdayWink
