1050 days ago Albany, WA, AU CA66 SCR 6.3 fangy 19 I used my anemometer and rigged for the conditions. After dredging around for a while I came back in and rigged the 6.3 . I struck a submerged object whilst walking the board back thru the shallows 70 m from shore. I managed to dig it out and it proved to be a couple of feet of barnacle encrusted railway iron. We have been looking for it for some time as a number of sailors have struck it sailing in when the water is deeper. Woody had a big off and buggered a fin. After changing sails and digging for iron I gave up my original plan of doing a distance day. I enjoyed a pleasant sail wth Jim and then later with Steve. Another happy Albany day😁

Great fun in the bay with Peter and Jim.
Wind picked up after a while and it looked like Peter had done an hour so I kept on for that. Wind died towards the end.
Just an awesome time on the water.

That was not a big success. Rigged my 6.3 Avalon. Then changed to 5.8 Koncept. Sailed out like a dweeb. Gained a little bit of control, put the hammer down and instantly catapulted.Ouch ! Went for another run and saw that the head of the Koncept looked peculiar. Another involuntary dismount during which I attacked my mast with my mouth. The mast won. Then Inoticed that my top batten was broken. Bugger.
Decided to flag it before I made an even bigger ass of myself. My lip is still getting bigger which my wife assures me is an improvment

Hmmm a bit of a weak effort, even though others were on bigger sails I should have gone the 5.7, fitness is poor so after a couple of runs I pulled the pin. I thought I had a near on 37 2sec peak so I was happy till I realised I hadn't cleared the screen from last session, might have been good encouragement for Bozz
CA SL87, 27 TWS, 6.6 Koncept, sunny warm skies and boardies.

1050 days ago Fun session at Pt Grey/Liptons, tried a few alphas, and speed runs at both sides of the channel.
Used the 5.7 speed, 48cm board and this time the 20cm@40/60. Much better in the chop but trawled a bit of weed taking off in the shallows. Think I can add a bit to the base to make it a 45/60.
Another good turn out, Hardy, Elmo. Basil, Remery, slugger, I saw firie, not sure if he actualy sailed? and of course Boz from the invading Pinnas.
Here's the crayons.
Looks like fastest runs at Liptons today, and best alpha, just goes to show you need to try both sides, everyday

Fun Arvy sailing, just back and forth with only one squirt in the flatish.
Happy that I could sail pretty much non stop for just over 90 mins hour knocked about a bit by a slipping boom and a mst base not done up properly.
Still quite a few knob jockies out in the dick length substitutions.
Fun session with a great crew out.

On my way out of town again I went past the fangy farm and decided to get wet and try out the
"new second hand" 5.8 sail and get it sorted out to sail with my gear. Things went well with a few tweeks.
The fangster has been absent and has let the field go a bit but there was some smooth to be had, if
one had a short weedy to attatch to the board, which was the old WT52 wide, with El50/18cm.
