1052 days ago 1 categories Kyeemagh, NSW, AU. Isonic 107L, NP H26,2m, JP 34cm. Gusty NE/NNE with some real bullets coming through, 20-30+kn. First 40 minutes was pretty consistent and some nice runs just offwind in the wave gulleys, making for really comfortable 30+kn runs on essentially flat water. However to make full use of the bullets required bearing away downwind near the runway, bouncing off the top of the chop which got the adrenalin going. Luckily, Lucas and Oliver took care of the really gusty/unpredictable conditions earlier in the day so by the time I arrived they were close to done, although to his credit Lucas changed down from a 7.0m and persisted with the 6.2m with Walter coaching from the beach. good to also see Mitch, Allan, and Bill ripping it up.
Memorable moment - Lucas doing a lay down gybe 3/4 of the way through the wind, then popping the sail up to be fully backwinded, which then launched his gear in the air whilst being backslapped in the water. Freestyle extrodanaire!!
