AlfaMale (19018km): Slalom training day at the river with Jules, Fez, Art, Arnold and Max Good session with the 560 after riding the 337 a little too often. SOO much better gybing and not too different lift/speed profile.
Really got to push the upper limit of the 7.0 in some of the gusts over 20kts with the foil... probably don't need to change to 6.3 before 22/25kts wind now! Depending on the lull depth of course.
Good to hear from Jules that my ride hight is quite stable
He was doing well to almost match my speed on 800 foil.
2 sails in 2 days. Feeling it now!

Jules (6892km): Georges River, NSW, AU. SW/S 16-22kn. JP Hydrofoil 135, GTR 800/255-2/95+/-0.5, Loft Racing Blade 7.8m. First mistake was looking at Seabreeze before packing the car. Left the 122L RS5 at home thinking there was plenty for the iSonic 107L. Got to the river just after 2pm and could see Fez out at the speed strip on his 7.0m, srtruggling at times but also getting some great runs. So rigged the 7.8m on the 107L, had 3 attempts at bogging out at about 3 knots then gave up on the slalom board just as Berowne was launching on his foil with a 7.0m. So switched the the foil with GTR and 800 wing and had an excellent session bombing up and down the rive with Berowne. Well matched but he defintely had a couple more knots in the bigger gusts, the 7.8m catching up slightly in the lulls. Quite technical sailing dealing with the chop, various larger boats' wakes and the omnipresent jetskis, but really fun!! | ||||||||||||||||||
