Lake George, SA, AU

The day didn't start well. Basement flooded last night in the rain storms, so i spent the night cleaning up. Was listening to the radio of the van and managed to flatten the battery so was a bit of a delayed start becaus eneeded a jump to get going from Melbourne to Lake George. When I arrived I saw that one of the hubcaps had fallen off the mags, probably when I hit one of potholes on the way...

But - the sail was great. Lots of good stuff came together.

NCX 5.0; Started on the iSonic 80 litre then went to the iSonic speed board (great board Jase!). Atomic Nuclear weed 17cm.  

I wore prescription sunnies which I think helps to prevent me gettiin lost and crashing into stuff for the first time and tried to consciously adopt the "speed stance". 

Great fun and great to catch up and meet heaps of people!

Really fun day with the crew at Lake George. Great to blow out the cobwebs after not sailing for 8 months. Nice and sunny with a warm constant wind. Battled with the weed a bit with the MXR 22 but was lots of fun, Ended the day same way as last trip here with a harness line break at 38 knots and massive stack. Thanks to Andy and the crew for sharing local knowledge. Great to catch up with the everyone over here always an awesome trip.
