974 days ago Lyttelton Harbour and Christchurch Estuary, NZ ..Short sail (4.6 kms) to start with at Lyttelton as brought the wrong gear not expecting the wind to pick up and so was very uncomfortably overpowered with both my sail and board width - Managed to stay dry though, went home in my wetsuit, had a coffee, and then went out on the estuary until it got dark. ..The wind was patchy on the estuary and I was always a bit underpowered, but still had plenty of fun trying for Alphas on my Carbon Art.
Exocet 100L/64W, Point-7 AC-Z 6.8, Select 37 ..mile was on this rig at Lyttelton
CA 82L/56W, Severne M4 7.0, Tribal 18 ..on the estuary

974 days ago 1 categories Lyttelton Harbour, MikezV1 135 Foilboard, ff 900, NCX 6m, lumpy and windy, couple of wild runs so switched to Supercross 97, underpowered on 6m and ended up below the reef, long swim in. Undeterred went out again for a foil and had a blast on the flat water with plenty of wind on the far side. Gybes improving and getting really comfortable flying higher. Worth going back out after my swim of shame. Have to fix my 6.5m so I have the power back.
