Lyttelton Harbour, Falcon 113, NCX 7.5, hard work but managed to get going.  This board is defintely better on the bigger sail, but an effort holding on.  Forgot the stem of my foil so this was my only option in the light conditions which was probably good for me as I have been avoiding learning to use this board. Easier to ride when it is going faster.

Christchurch Estuary, NZ ..Very enjoyable sailing even though the weather was a bit gloomy.

Hey Pete, are you hitting the bottom much, sailing that long after high tide?

Hi Mike, I've been staying entirely within the confines of the river on the south side and the weed banks on the north side - All 59 kms yesterday was in that 900 metre stretch (my NM has two gybes in it). Even though it was almost 1800 when I came in I hadn't run aground at any point. Occasionally the weed was bringing me to a halt at the slow point in gybes, but mostly my experience with the Tribal weed fin is exactly as promised on the Tribal website. I can go barrelling into weed with it no problem and usually get back out again.

..And was no hardship for me staying in that 900 metre stretch as my new Carbon Art board has all kinds of gybing potential to learn about - the like of which I've certainly never ever experienced before - As I was coming in I was thinking Gee that was one of the best windsurfing experiences of my life

That's great, finding new experiences with the gear, I'll have to get/make a fin and join you.
