Greenpark.  Last session before they drain the lake. wind from ten to fifty knots!!  115 7.0 warp then Mykz SP7 fat boy21sym and 5.6nth warp.  Lake was too deep for any of the bars found one section about 60m long and got a new pb 2 sec from it before crashing trying to slow down.  Had another bad crash after getting caught way upwind in forty knots on my 7 and 115falcon.  Scary day hopefully spring brings some days like that with a bar to hide behind.Smile

Dezza, the Lake level gets too high and floods the land around so they dig a channel to the sea and drain it.

Usually only happens once or twice a year, tho record has been 4 times.

Expensive process and common sense would say use a weir system to control level but for cultural reasons this is opposed by local Iwi.

Often we have perfect wind conditons for speed sailing but the level is too low for sailing due to the draining.

Thanks Mike. That must be quite a mission to dig a channel each time!
