Too rough for most of the day for good speeds and my arms gave out just as conditions were improving.

824 days ago 1 categories Coodanup, WA, AU. Forecast wind was a long time coming so got busy getting other stuff done and was thus late to the party. Wind didn't seem that great on arrival and Boz, Antman and Richo doing alot of standing around chatting to Woody who was watching from the sidelines... so rigged 7. Of course once done wind picked up considerably so rigged 6.3. Went out for a bit but wind changed up another gear so came in to change down again. Decrepit and the mad Gloria turned up. There was another sailor out I didn't recognise. Didn't feel totally in control on the FF18 as the chop a little too big for it so concentrated on Alphas. Probably should have changed fins to the reliable FF22 and gone out again. Nice to meet Firie Bob finally who stopped by for a chat. Hope your fingers are ok Gloria. iSonic97, KAR 5.7, FF18V4

Turned up to no wind and Richo waiting for wind. Bit of chug fest at first then booted in, no mater what I did today got stuck on 34-35 still a bit of fun with the boyz and mad Gloria what a champion going out in some strong wind conditions. Nice to see the usual as well as Mike out of hibernation and Firie even though the big blouse didn’t sail😁 The pond was the flattest I’ve seen just saying😁

Punchy, shifty gusts and unsettled water. Good to get back to the local with Slowy, Col, Pete, Jay and a few more of the regulars. Considered heading to Liptons but the wind didn't seem to be following the forecast so I checked out Melville, waited a while hoping for a bit more wind and eventually rigged the 7.1KAR, is86 and tws29. Lasted about 10 underwhelming minutes before the mast poked through the top of the sail so I rigged the 6.6 Koncept. Didn't take long for the wind to build and I was struggling to get comfortable on what is usually a comfy set up so I switched to the mistral 91. The extra length and more forgiving rocker made bearing away through the lumps much easier but when the gusts hit the 6.6 once I'd settled the board the gust was gone. Battled on and had the best 2 sec on this combo but eventually decided to rig smaller. Pete insisted I borrow his patrick 5.7, was a demon up wind but couldn't get comfortable enough on it to really bear away. Rigged the 5.8Kocept, ran that with the mistral 91 for a while but still couldn't stick any decent speed. The tide was dropping and the sandbar was hard to see with all the tannin in the water even still the water was lumpy with messy chop so I tried the is76 with the tws 25 for some forgivness in the shallow spots. Nice and comfy in comparison but still struggling to go fast. Good excercise, and a decent amount of sunshine. Sea breezes are just weeks away.

Coods with the Boz, Ant Jim Gloria and Woody as support crew. I arrived at 7:30 to no wind ,fast forward 4hrs and it was on.
Great session and i thought i had best speed of the day but after a few close calls nearly going over i decided to call it a day and then the best wind of the day came in and it was great to see Ant smash out a 39. Well done mate. Surprised to see a 30knt naughty but stoked to be able to contribute to the team.
