685 days ago 1 categories Princess Royal Harbour, WA, AU. Short session in the beautiful warm waters of Shoal Bay teaching a mate to sail. Went out on same gear as yesterday was ok most of the time until a winter Chook pond type squal came through...I was ready for it but the FF18V4 was not in the chop and was spin out city so couldn't take advantage. Seemed way more power in the wind and should have been on the FF22 which would have handled the chop better. Oddly felt as if could go way faster today than yesterday. Had to cut session short as uni joint used yesterday I stuck on mates rig broke. iSonic86, KAR6.3, FF18V4,

685 days ago Cervantes - Windy as hell up here (getting well over 30knots half way out to the island) and personally, was in survival mode, so reflected in crap alpha and NM and 1 hour. I earned my post race beer, that's for sure!

685 days ago Drove from Albany to Coods to enjoy the very strong SW winds as forecast. On arrival it was very windy so I decided to rig my KA 4.7, put the 18cm WS Delta in my 45 JP Speed board (a very small board). It took me about an hour to get ready. As soon as I entered the Coodanup weed and trudged out 150 metres to deeper water..... the wind dropped! Typical. After waiting for about an hour it started to blow again and quite strong. However, trying to ride an out and out tiny speed board is very hard work, so I wouldn't say it was enjoyable.

Warm day and looked like it was going to crank but alas it was a tease. Strongest wind straight up then proceeded to fade only to come back when tide got higher and water became choppy enough to slow you down. Fun still had couldn’t ask for more.

Enjoyable windy day. Target was 30knts which I have not been able to acheive for a year or so. Needed to go to the speed board to get it.
90 RRB then 73 Mistral, 5.4 Koncept, 18 the 16 deltas.
Good to see Reg and I think Boz in the distance.

A great day with greater people. Best speed early then tried alphas later on. Stoked to see a 27.84 alpha with an almost cross over at the end. About 45m spare by the looks. If only I had used the new gps Boz gave me this morning which shows the gate width... Next time. Falcon 56 Evo12 5.8 Delta 16

Great bunch out with some good speeds for the conditions. Wind was full on when I arrived and forcast to increase so I rigged the 5M with the mistra91. Very comfortable but undercooked especially on the bearaways. Tried the isonic 76 but stuck at 34knotts. Huge thanks to Woody for the blast on his gear which gave me my fastest speed of the day, really knew I was alive trying to keep the fin in the groove. Wind peaked just after 5pm when many were hitting the road. I switched back to the mistral for one last run. A few runs later the wind had backed off a little steadied out I had the place to myself having a ball cruising back and forwards. fgured I would continue on to log an hour not knowing what time I started. Planned to stop at 170ks to make it a full hour then suddenly the GW60 battery died. Bah! Another 2 minutes would have made a difference, ten minutes more battery and the hour could've been better still. mistral91, isonic76, tribal delta18, Koncept5.0

Top day at Coods today. Body felt pretty average but some nice wind helped me push throught the soreness. Best part was the long runs on the naughty.
Plenty of great company and great to see Woody out doing what he does best.

663 days ago Fun sesh at Coods.
Plenty of wind, but the tide was much higher than my last visit, so it wasn't as smooth.
Windtech 57 + 6.3 SCR + 20 Tribal delta.
Hit a wall at 37K, and despite multiple attempts couldn't crack a 38.
I also thought my alpha would be quicker, but I'm happy to take an NM PB as a consolation prize
Only went for one NM, and managed to hook a nice gust, so well happy with a 34.
Great sailing with a bunch of Pinnaroos, and props to Woody who was smashing it today
